FPT has invested in training human resources in the data field

FPT Software has recently collaborated with Udacity - an e-learning platform to start training potential candidates in the data field in a program mentored by top leaders in the market at Silicon Valley. 

This collaboration with Udacity belongs to the long-term training strategy of FPT Software. The main goal is to strengthen the capability of the data workforce, precisely data engineer, data analyst, data scientist. This is one among many training programs that FPT Software usually executes towards its core to catch up with the global development trend. 

Since 2016, digital transformation (DX) has been one of the strategic visions that FPT Software focused and emphasized on. Accordingly, it has focused mainly on training data expertstraining experts of data - the leading force in the consultation activities and DX projects. 

FPT Software representatives said that the company expected after this collaboration with Udacity, they would have a team of data engineers and scientists with well-rounded technology capability, consulting and deploying skills to ultimately make the best decision on clients’ production, business, and operation based on a technology. This would also enable FPT Software to have competitive advantages in joining global large-scaled projects. 

The first course started in July of 2021 and would last for 12 months with the participation of 30 learners - which all belonged to the outstanding data force of the company. The Nanodegree program, built and taught by experts from top Silicon Valley companies, was dedicated to this first group. 

The program sticks to the market’s real need as it provides practical experience and also opportunities to connect, discuss with experts. Participants also get to be led, graded by experts, join specialized interviews, and learn about unique tools and updates from the market. 

After graduation, learners will be credited with a verified certification accepted by not only the experts’ companies but also Udacity’s partners like Google, Facebook, or Amazon, and continue to get support from the professors. 

Mr. Frank Bignone - FPT Software Global digital transformation Director shared on the long-term goal of training: “Human resource is the most valuable asset of FPT Software. This global specialized training is a critical strategy to open up to new business opportunities. It brings out the best from our potential individuals. FPT Software expected this to bring a breakthrough to the company and also Vietnamese technological field.” 

FPT had set the goal of recruiting 150 participants by the end of 2021, focusing on data, business development platforms, and high technology solutions. According to the plan, by 2022, FPT Software will have 500 learners on the Udacity platform and expand the training to IoT, cloud computing, and blockchain.
