FPT has signed an agreement with Hai Duong province to promote DX

Hanoi, August 24 2021 - Today, FPT and Hai Duong province's People's Committee have signed a strategic collaboration to promote the province's digital transformation between 2021 and 2025. Hai Duong quickly established itself as a national leader in digital transformation, with three pillars: digital government, digital economy, and digital society. Additionally, FPT advocated establishing a digital transformation strategy to prevent Covid-19 on both the fronts of public health and safe production to assist Hai Duong province in being prepared and proactive in the case of a pandemic to deal with unexpected scenarios and outbreak developments.

Through this agreement, the two parties hope to promote comprehensive digital transformation in Hai Duong province, from public entities to individuals and businesses, thereby contributing to the development of a digitally enabled way of life, working, and consumption; assisting Hai Duong in actively participating in the fourth industrial revolution by developing a digital platform for multi-way communication. Simultaneously, FPT will support the province in surveying and assessing the province's existing status, challenges, and strengths, to establish and implement appropriate processes, policies, programs, and plans under the province's actual situation and resources.

Especially in the context of complicated developments of the epidemic, at the event, FPT proposed the province implement a digital transformation model in the prevention of Covid-19 based on technology solutions to support the access of tracing, controlling, guiding, and taking care of infected cases to ensure the health of the people, as well as the prevention and control team. Meanwhile, the province can ensure safe production and business for businesses in the new normal.

During the event, Mr. Pham Xuan Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, stated, "The Provincial Party Committee issued a Resolution on digital transformation for the period 2021-2025, with orientations." By 2030, Hai Duong will be among the top 20 provinces/cities nationwide in terms of digital transformation and the top 15 provinces/cities nationwide in digital transformation by 2025. This collaboration agreement ushers in a new chapter in the province's digital transformation revolution while also laying the groundwork for the province to accelerate and achieve significant strides in socio-economic development in the future years. Simultaneously, Provincial Party Committee Secretary Pham Xuan Thang underlined the importance of the two sides immediately focusing on digital transformation by reforming administrative procedures, e-government, and e-commerce to establish three pillars quickly. A digital government, a digital economy, and a digital society are all possible. In particular, beginning in 2021, it is critical to rapidly deploy technology solutions that will enable the province to respond proactively to unanticipated pandemic scenarios, resulting in the creation of green businesses, green workshops, green workers, and green people. Green governance ensures the continuation of economic and social activities in the new normal and the health and safety of its citizens.

During the event, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, stated, "Covid-19 is a significant challenge in terms of life safety, economic security, and social security. We must be well-prepared for the possibility of an epidemic outbreak.
