FPT IS expanding the SAP ERP system for HABECO

On the morning of May 11, 2021, the kick-off ceremony of the investment project on the overall corporate governance system at HABECO Trading Company Ltd. was held, marking the continuing expansion of the application of SAP ERP system at HABECO. This is a milestone for the trust and a new step in the strategic cooperation relationship between HABECO and FPT IS (A member company of FPT).

Speaking at the launching ceremony of the project, General Director of HABECO said that the SAP ERP system implementation project is one of the core activities building the foundation for HABECO's transformation process. This transformation is not only digital in nature but also a transformation in production, business and branding of the corporation and HABECO MTV.

“After successfully implementing phase 1, HABECO - FPT IS - SAP have become reliable partners and worked together closely finish the project as committed. Continuing with phase 2, we believe that HABECO will have a solid foundation for transformation, improve production, business and trade activities and catch up with competitors, affirming its leading position in the market.” – Mr. Ngo Que Lam asserted.

Mr. Duong Dung Trieu, the Chairman of FPT IS also emphasized: “Expanding the management module for the Corporation is the plan and roadmap agreed by the leaders of the two sides when starting this digital transformation project. Although there will be difficulties, I believe that with the experience and professional understanding of both teams, the system will be completed on schedule, giving HABECO a solid ERP foundation. This is also the core for successful businesses going through digital transformation.”

Starting the project phase 2, HABECO continues the process of expanding the depth and breadth of the application of the SAP ERP system, among which will be 2 main tasks: deploying and expanding the system to member unit, HABECO MTV Company, and deploying more modules of Production Management, Quality Management, and Consolidation of Financial Statements. at the corporation. 

At the beginning of the construction of SAP ERP system phase 1 at HABECO in May 2019, the project was evaluated as one of the important information technology projects invested and implemented by two leading enterprises in Vietnam, marking the digital transformation step in the management and operation of HABECO. After 6 months, all employees of HABECO and the FPT IS project team have made great efforts to put the system into operation on time of December 1, 2019, helping HABECO to centrally operate data of business segments and divisions, contributing to improving the efficiency of corporate governance of the unit.

Currently, HABECO has a synchronous and consistent shared database that helps users quickly enter data, search for information and make the most of available resources, and at the same time, monitor and manage the processes throughout the system. Along with that, the information on the legacy system helps to save time and reduce errors in the data entry process, and the control of progress. HABECO and FPT IS are still continuing to refine and perfect the system.

In 2021, HABECO sets the goal of continuing to build a corporate governance system for the entire company, standardizing and automating operational processes, synchronizing data and building a management reporting system.
