FPT IS Signed a Partnership Agreement with Best Telecom - A Lao Telecommunications Company

On June 10, 2022, at the Office of the Ministry of Information and Communications in Hanoi, FPT Information System Co., Ltd. and Best Telecom Laos Company signed a cooperation agreement. The event was within the framework of the Minister of Technology and Communications of Laos' visit to Vietnam. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Vietnam's Minister of Information and Communications; Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara - Lao's Minister of Technology and Communications. In addition, Ms. Pham Thuy Loan - COO of FPT IS -and Ms. Kingphongeun Phoummasack - CEO of AIF Corporation - were on behalf of the two sides to sign the Memorandum of Understanding.

Accordingly, FPT IS will cooperate with Best Telecom in a strategic partnership in the research and development of some IT projects in Laos shortly. Best Telecom is a telecommunications company under AIF Group - one of the largest multi-industry groups in Laos operating in many fields: Mining, precious metals, banking, telecommunications, logistics... Best Telecom wishes to find partners with experience in consulting and implementing in the field of telecommunications and e-government to promote IT application/digital transformation activities in Laos. These are also FPT IS's core strengths in Vietnam and Laos.

Signing the cooperation agreement during the Ministers' visit is an honor for FPT IS. It opens up further business and development opportunities for FPT IS from existing experience and expands the potential in Laos.

At once, the Minister of Information and Communications of Vietnam and the Minister of Technology and Communications of Laos also witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on postal cooperation between the Vietnam Post Corporation and Lao Post.
