The following event in the series "Supporting the pandemic's hot spots" saw FPT cooperate with the Hope Fund to provide 20kg of rice to each of 8.190 impoverished households in Ho Chi Minh City.
With the total number of infections in Ho Chi Minh City exceeding the threshold of 180,000, initiatives to extend the time and close the distance have been implemented continually at the epidemic center. This lengthy battle impacts people's lives to varying degrees; many households struggle to sustain essential daily functions. FPT, not wanting to be left out of the fight against the disease, partnered with the Hope Fund to develop the "Rice bags of gratitude" campaign, which provided poor homes with enough food to survive the pandemic.
On August 24, FPT and the Hope fund began delivering "gratitude rice bags" containing 20kg of rice to poor households in Ho Chi Minh City. A total of 8,190 packages will be distributed in the following days, enabling employees, impoverished children, and persons with disabilities afflicted by the pandemic to share their burdens.
“The fight against the epidemic belongs to the entire country, from those on the frontlines immediately combating the epidemic to the people, particularly the vulnerable in the epidemic center,” a representative of FPT stated. FPT aspires to contribute to society by providing practical and timely assistance to the community for the entire country to overcome obstacles.”
Previously, FPT partnered with the Hope Fund to distribute 5,000 bags of vegetables and fruits to low-income homes, underprivileged children, and disabled persons in Ho Chi Minh City to help them maintain a stable daily life. This is an activity supporting situations affected by the Covid-19 outbreak under the initiative "Strengthening the epidemic center." Along with assisting underprivileged groups, the initiative energizes frontline forces, including soldiers, physicians, and medical personnel, fighting the disease in hotspots throughout the country by providing equipment, machinery, and medical supplies. Approximately 10,000 soldiers, doctors, and medical personnel from more than 30 frontline units have benefited from the program thus far.
