FPT Software sponsored a 1-billion dong scholarship for students

To encourage high-schoolers to approach Information Technology, FPT Software had decided to sponsor a 1-billion dong scholarship in the online course of Essential Coding at FUNiX Digital University.

According to the fact that high-schoolers can easily access and complete the IT course at FUNiX, FPT had decided to allocate a 1-billion scholarship fund for the Fundamental Coding course - the first among seven certificates in the major of Core Software Engineering at FUNiX. The target of this scholarship is teenager in Secondary and Highschool nation-wide. FPT Software and FUNiX expect this fund will encourage the interest of IT for Vietnamese youth, then, ultimately solve the lack of human resources in this field.

FUNiX has over 11,000 learners in Vietnam and 23 countries over the world and among them, there are 2,500 who are still young students. Within that group, there are some highschool seniors that have already finished the FUNiX program. This means they are totally capable of handling the program just like a freshman majoring in Software Development, some even made impressive achievements in well-known competitions.

FPT Software’s COO - Mr. Tran Dang Hoa claimed that this program will grant hundreds of 9.5-million-dong scholarships to students with the intention to get early access to technology or to pursue this career in the future. The total budget for this fund in 2021 is 1 billion minimum.

According to TopDev - a Vietnamese IT recruitment platform, in 2021, the demand for human resources in the field is estimated to be around 500.000 executives and the pool can only provide 310.000. Along with that, the flexibility in training methods nowadays has enabled great opportunities and offered orientation to Vietnamese youth. Joining hands with enterprises, FUNIX has great expectation that this scholarship package is going to be spread widely to students, then speed up the IT movement in the young community.

This course is the Fundamental Coding course - the first among seven certificates in the major of Core Software Engineering at FUNiX which consists of: Mastering Computer Skill; Website Building; Computer Architecture & Structure & Basic C Programming with the duration of 40 weeks of e-learning.

To sign up for this scholarship, applicants must meet the requirements of being a student in Secondary or Highschool, having talent and interest in Technology Information field, being able to express the desire in application form and last but not least, passing the final selection round with the sponsors.
