FPT Showcases Its "Solutions for Satisfaction" in Binh Dinh

Binh Dinh, September 21-22, 2023 - With the desire to contribute significantly to promoting the national digital transformation across the three pillars of the digital society, digital economy, and digital government, as well as satisfying people's and businesses' demand, FPT has played its leading role through various activities of the 24th Vietnam ICT Cooperation Development Seminar in Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh). The seminar, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Binh Dinh People's Committee, and the Vietnam Association for Information Processing (VAIP), aims to accelerate the digital transformation toward modern e-government and administrative reforms, benefit people and businesses and contribute to socio-economic development.

Unlocking data potential for local digital transformation

Acknowledging the current situation and closely aligning with the goals of implementing Project 06 - the project to develop data on population, identification, and virtual authentication to serve the national digital transformation from 2022 to 2025, with a vision until 2030, FPT has recognized data strategy as a vital element. Accordingly, the Corporation has proposed a data strategy and initiated the "Made by FPT" infrastructure model to help local leaders make immediate data-driven decisions, building a happy future for individuals and organizations based on three fundamental principles. First, it supports localities in maximizing the unrestricted use of existing utilities of Project 06. Second, localities can build infrastructure on FPT's available apps and platforms. Third, based on assessing the effectiveness of local usage, the Corporation will advise on building new installations or hiring services following bidding and investment regulations.

In the discussion session themed "Platforms, Solutions, and Applications of Emerging Technologies that Help Accelerate the Digital Society and the Digital Economy," FPT's representative, Mr. Vu Hong Chien, Director of the Quy Nhon Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research and Application Center (QAI, under FPT Software - a subsidiary of FPT Corporation) and Head of the AI Department at FPT University Quy Nhon, proposed several solutions for the implementation of Project 06 through his lecture: "Project 06 and the exploitation of citizen data for security monitoring."

FPT has collaborated with over 30 provinces and cities to deploy IT solutions and utility models aligned with Project 06. The Corporation has built the "Made by FPT" digital framework deploying Project 06 in localities. The framework focuses on five aspects: Real-time data-driven management; Streamlined administration; Civilized digital citizenry; Secure and convenient society-economy; Interconnected and authenticated National Data. FPT has developed over 40 utility models to explore and leverage data potential, transforming connection methods to bring practical benefits to people and companies. For example, in public administration, FPT's model has supported 90% of administrative procedures in Hanoi, Tay Ninh, Quang Ninh, and Hai Phong to be conducted digitally.
In Binh Dinh, FPT has comprehensively and holistically promoted digital transformation across all three pillars: Digital Government - Digital Economy - Digital Society. Specifically, FPT has collaborated with local leaders to officially inaugurate the Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) for the smart city via an all-in-one platform; put into use an integrated and shareable data platform; deployed an AI-enabled traffic management camera system; implemented large-scale awareness training programs in digital transformation; and advised on the implementation of digital solutions in health, agriculture, and business operation. In the education sector, FPT has established a branch of FPT University in Binh Dinh, providing higher education(graduate and postgraduate levels) and offering education support services and scientific research for thousands of students focusing on IT and AI. In the technology sector, FPT expects to have 2,500 employees in Binh Dinh by 2025. It spends billions of dong to build educational facilities, a complex of R&D and training centers, and an AI center with the desire to make Binh Dinh the AI hub on a local and regional scale.

Collaboration agreement to promote digital transformation to serve people and businesses

In order to expedite the digital transformation process in Binh Dinh and facilitate public administration services for smooth digital transactions, FPT, together with several companies, signed an MoU with the Binh Dinh Department of Information and Communications to coordinate in accelerating digital signatures. According to this MoU, FPT would support Binh Dinh Province in developing regimes and communication activities to introduce digital signature solutions, particularly remote signing solutions for residents to use in public transactions. Besides, the Corporation would implement several policies to promote and support users, such as providing free digital certificates for residents to use in public administration services within one year from the date of use; a 20% discount on FPT.eInvoice until December 31, 2023; a 20% discount on FPT.CA digital signatures (Token/HSM) until December 31, 2023; a package of 1,000 e-invoices for businesses registering before December 31, 2023; and a package of 100 e-contracts for businesses registering before December 31, 2023.

Demonstrating technology solutions for an exclusive experience

Within the seminar agenda, in the National ICT Exhibition area, FPT demonstrated its technology solutions such as FPT.IDCheck, akaCam, FPT Camera Play, FPT Smart Home, and the AI Robot in a booth themed "Smart vision, convenient travel." All solutions target to create conveniences at every touchpoint in the people's and businesses' experience journey, especially for tourists. The chip-embedded citizen identity card (ID Card) verification solution - FPT.IDCheck - and the ID card scanning device - FPT.IDReader, with facial recognition capability and a verification accuracy of up to 100%, can optimize identification activities in various fields such as tourism, banking and finance, insurance, e-commerce, and real estate, as well as in any organization, such as schools, notary offices, or hospitals.

FPT is one of the few entities in Vietnam that fully meets the standards for technology and security, licensed by the Ministry of Public Security to provide chip-embedded ID card authentication services. In education, over 20,000 candidates underwent authentication using chip-embedded ID cards when participating in the assessment exam at Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2023. In healthcare, 300 hospitals and over 100,000 patients use chip-embedded ID cards as a substitute for health insurance cards during medical examinations and treatments, saving 10,000 working days per year by eliminating manual verification between health insurance cards and personal documents. Additionally, 11 organizations and financial institutions use FPT.IDCheck for services such as remote account opening or loan applications.

FPT's exhibition booth attracts visitors

akaCam is an analysis platform that transforms video data into structured information for processing and analysis, including detection, recognition, tracking, classification, and indexing of objects and behaviors in videos. akaCam has been deployed on various projects, committed to an average accuracy of over 95% for critical functions. akaCam, integrated with FPT.IDCheck, replaces traditional ID card checks, optimizing time and human forces while effectively preventing fraudulent activities, ensuring transparency in driver's license exams, and minimizing incidents/negative behaviors during driving tests.

FPT Smart Home utilized AI to benefit users by minimizing operations, aiming for wireless connectivity, voice control, and automation to enhance experience. All devices in your home can be connected and controlled with real-time data. Through a few entries of the daily habits of homeowners, the virtual assistant can provide suggestions or automatically control devices inside the house based on individual needs. In Vietnam, FPT is the only company providing a Vietnamese voice-controlled solution for all smart home devices.
