FPT Showcases its Technology Ecosystem for Happiness Creation in District 7 - Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City, October 6, 2023 - FPT Corporation participated in the "Digital Transformation Day - Innovative Startup Space 2023" organized by District 7 People's Committee at the Central Administrative Square. During the event, FPT's leadership shared their cooperation in digital transformation with District 7 and showcased its "happiness-driven" digital transformation and smart city solutions.

The "Digital Transformation Day - Innovative Startup Space 2023" organized by District 7 People's Committee aimed to celebrate the National Digital Transformation Day on October 10. The event featured various meaningful activities, including a technology exhibition, seminars, a startup initiatives competition, hybrid running races, and a live concert.

District 7 introduced its Smart City Operations Center (SOC) at the exhibition. This model is developed based on the Command Center for COVID-19 Prevention and Economic Recovery databases, which District 7 cooperated with FPT to build during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. The Center has been operated based on mobile-based applications to serve State management and citizen services, gradually establishing digital government infrastructure that aligns with the modernization goal, enhancing management capabilities and serving citizens and businesses.

Giving a speech at the event, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, recalled the most challenging days during the COVID-19 pandemic in District 7. "600 tech experts of FPT and local leaders made great efforts to ensure the safety and livelihoods of the residents. Fortunately, within just one month, we won the fight to run the Center, laying the foundation for HCMC to return to a "new normal" life".

According to Mr. Truong Gia Binh, this success inspires young people to keep on the path of innovation. He emphasized the importance of digital transformation to serve the people, businesses, and government. "There are various innovative opportunities for you to contribute to the development of the district, the green and smart city, and further, a mighty Vietnam," said the FPT Chairman.

Previously, in April 2023, based on the Command Center for COVID-19 Prevention and Economic Recovery built for District 7 in 2021, FPT and the District 7 People's Committee implemented the Smart City Operations Center, integrating critical functional systems, including: Traffic safety and security monitoring system; Information security, supervision, direction, and administration system; Feedback system; Disease prevention and control system.

Head of the District People's Committee, Mr. Hoang Minh Tuan Anh, stated that citizens are starting to benefit from the values of digital transformation. They are actively participating in the process with increasing activities, such as cashless payments for electricity, water, taxes, and goods; electronic contracts and digital signatures; online payments for school fees, administrative procedure fees, and social insurance; and the use of electronic health insurance cards and remote medical services.

FPT showcased various products, services, and solutions for smart cities at the exhibition. FPT Camera, an AI-integrated solution for comprehensive monitoring and data management on a Cloud computing platform with warning features, was highlighted.

FPT also demonstrates the FPT.IDCheck solution for authenticating chip-embedded citizen identification cards within 10 seconds. The product is launched in the context of the entire Vietnamese population transitioning to using chip-embedded ID cards in most transactions, benefitting from convenient experiences.

akaVerse, a leader in virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies, were also presented. Beyond being a tech product, the product reshapes how businesses interact with customers in the digital age.

FPT Smart Home, allowing users to control and set up intelligent functions for their homes through simple and intuitive voice commands or app interactions, attracted significant attention.

FPT.eContract, a leading electronic signing solution trusted and used by over 1,500 organizations and businesses across various sectors, serving the needs of over 4,000,000 users with over 2,000,000 successfully signed documents/contracts, was also showcased.

The Utop at Work solution, rewarding employees with online points (Utop points), was presented as a new approach to employee welfare, helping companies streamline administrative procedures and enhance the employee experience to create a joyful workplace.
