FPT Exhibited Smart Urban Ecosystem

HCMC - FPT Corporation showcased its ecosystem of digital transformation solutions for smart city development and construction at the Smart City Asia 2023 exhibition from April 13-15.

The Smart City Asia 2023 forum and exhibition is the second event organized by the Vietnam Digital Communications Association, Exporum Co., Ltd., the Institute of Creativity and Digital Transformation, and the Vietnam Automation Association. FPT experts proposed innovative strategies for the government and businesses at this event.

The Corporation showcased its ecosystem of digital transformation products and solutions for organizations, businesses, and individuals, including FPT Cloud, FPT.AI, akaVerse - Digital Twin, akaMes, IoT Platform, FPT.eHospital, and FPT Smart Home.

Among them, akaMES is a real-time automated production management software designed to reduce paperwork and streamline operations. Specifically, the system provides early warning of abnormalities and optimizes production coordination to reduce waste and improve product quality.

Besides, akaVerse creates a virtual space for showcasing and presenting products, expanding access to those with geographical limitations. Digital Twin technology supports the creation of a digital replica of a building, factory, process, or object while managing and operating the real-time physical version through IoT devices.

Virtual Training supports the creation of a virtual training space that simulates work processes in factories or offices, promoting the integration process of new employees. In addition, Innovation Hub is a technology that helps to create a digital store running on a website platform, where users can shop, inspect and place products in real space using the AR function of their phone (using Safari on the iPhone).FPT.eHospital 2.0+ - the smart hospital management system - helps to build a comprehensive digital hospital model, enhancing the patient experience from registration, examination, and inpatient treatment to discharge and payment.

Cloud computing technology platforms (FPT Cloud) and Artificial Intelligence (FPT.AI) are two indispensable pillars of smart cities. FPT.AI provides virtual assistant solutions, voice processing and synthesis technology, computer vision technology to process text intelligently, and facial recognition technology.

Many visitors came to experience and try out the "Made-by-FPT" products.

FPT Cloud provides an advanced cloud computing infrastructure-based digital platform that enables unlimited data storage with high performance, fast speed, and international standard security. Cloud computing is an important technology that supports smart city solutions such as IoT, AR, VR, AI, etc., which can be deployed flexibly, quickly, and effectively.

FPT. IoT helps organizations and businesses connect, manage device networks, and deploy solutions through microservices architecture. Moreover, the system allows expanding variations of smart solutions and different types of devices on the same platform.

The Corporation also introduced FPT Smart Home to create smart homes, including lighting, control, security, and television solutions. The product owns a smart home ecosystem with over 5,000 household appliances - through Google Assistant, allowing users to control them using Vietnamese voice commands.

In addition to showcasing the ecosystem, FPT experts presented many proposals at the Smart City Development Forum during the digital transformation process.

Specifically, Mr. Nguyen Tan Hung - Southern Business Manager of FPT Smart Cloud, a subsidiary of FPT Corporation, presented a speech on the "Creating Smart Cities on AI and Cloud Platforms" topic. According to Mr. Hung, the three most critical elements to creating a smart city are the effectiveness of public services, resource optimization, and sustainable development. Besides, advanced information and communication technology (ICT) solutions such as IoT, Big Data, 5G, and AI are foundational to materializing smart city models.

In developed countries, AI has been widely applied in fields such as traffic management, environmental monitoring, and citizen and urban management. It is also integrated into healthcare and education, creating a sustainable technology ecosystem for residents. Investing in cloud-based infrastructure is essential to develop smart cities, including tools that adhere to cybersecurity policies and provide an integrated environment for business applications.

Cloud infrastructure is also utilized in large cities to solve these problems. In Vietnam, FPT Smart Cloud pioneered AI and Cloud computing. FPT.AI and FPT Cloud platforms are always ready to accompany local leaders in building smart cities, comprehensive automation, and long-term benefits for urban residents.

Mr. Steven Michael Furst - Senior Consultanting Director from FPT Information System, a subsidiary of FPT Corporation - presented the topic "Building the ability to manage and analyze data for smart cities." Accordingly, being a master of data is an essential factor in the successful process of building smart cities. Localities should focus on developing new capabilities to seize opportunities and advantages in data. From there, enhance the ability to analyze and utilize existing information sources, design appropriate and flexible infrastructure to integrate data from various sources, and turn data into a significant advantage in creating smart cities in Vietnam.

Participating in Smart City Asia 2023, FPT wanted to introduce to customers a rich ecosystem of products and shared experiences in digital transformation and successfully implement smart city projects. The Corporation desires to support the efficient exploitation of resources to address the challenges of modern urbanization through digital technology platforms. It was also an opportunity for networking, connecting, exchanging experiences, and introducing technology products between FPT and organizations, businesses, and individuals.
