FPT Exhibits the Smart City Ecosystem at Techfest Hanoi 2023

Hanoi, October 12, 2023 – As part of the Capital Region Startup Innovation Day 2023, FPT Corporation showcased its digital transformation ecosystem of platforms, solutions, products, and services for smart city development. FPT experts also participated in the Technology Connection and Innovation Startup Forum with the theme "Promoting an open innovation ecosystem in line with ESG orientation in Hanoi."

The Capital Region Startup Innovation Day 2023 (Techfest Hanoi 2023), themed "Connecting the Capital Region - Creativity and Development," took place from October 12 to 14, 2023, at the National Convention Center. The event was hosted by the Hanoi People's Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology.

During the opening ceremony, leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee visited FPT's booth under the theme "Smart vision, safety commitment." The city leaders had hands-on experiences with FPT's akaCam and IDcheck services and highly praised their applicability.

The "Smart vision, safety commitment" ecosystem

FPT's exhibition introduced innovative platforms, solutions, products, and services under the theme "Smart vision, safety commitment." These include akaCam - a facial recognition solution; The identity authentication solution suite for ID cards (FPT.IDcheck & FPT.IDReader); the FPT AI platform; and akaBot for comprehensive Robotic Process Automation (RPA). akaCam is a solution for facial recognition through Camera and data collection. akaCam, honored with the 2023 Sao Khue Award, recognizes and analyzes the behavior and activities of objects and humans by converting camera data into analyzable information.

FPT.IDCheck is the solution for authenticating data on chip-embedded citizen identity cards (ID Cards) and FPT.IDReader is the scanning device to read ID cards. With facial recognition capabilities and an accuracy rate of up to 100%, these solutions are widely used in various fields such as banking, finance, insurance, e-commerce, real estate, and any organization, including schools, notary offices, and hospitals. Currently, FPT is one of the few entities in Vietnam that fully meets the standards for technology and security, licensed by the Ministry of Public Security to provide chip-embedded ID card authentication services.

akaBot, a comprehensive RPA solution, mimics human operations, automating repetitive tasks in large quantities. To date, akaBot has served over 3,500 businesses in 21 countries, with over 10,000 virtual robots deployed. AkaBot's virtual assistants have freed more than 11 million employees from tedious tasks, shortened working time by 70%, and saved up to 21.9 million working hours annually. In addition, akaBot has also contributed to reducing 60% of paper usage.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet, CTO of FPT Information System (a subsidiary of FPT Corporation), delivered a presentation on "Innovation - Core Culture and Catalyst for Creating New Technology Products." According to Mr. Viet, innovation is the foundation for sustainable development, contributing 95% to economic competitiveness and impacting 66% of the value of innovation affecting the population.

Mr. Tran The Trung, Deputy Director of the AI Product Division at FPT Smart Cloud, presented FPT's AI ecosystem and practical applications that enhance operational efficiency in the logistics industry, including companies like Grab, Ahamove, Giaohangnhanh, and Vietnam Airlines. According to Mr. Trung, FPT.AI solutions are designed to fit various business types across different sectors, revolutionizing operations and creating breakthroughs. The solutions help increase the competitiveness of transportation businesses and the entire economy, contributing to building the innovative city model.

Techfest Hanoi 2023 aims to promote the startup and innovation ecosystem in the Capital Region, accelerating science and technology activities in the Capital Region and Hanoi in particular.
