FPT and Quang Tri Youth Union Sign Cooperation Agreement to Promote Digital Transformation

Hanoi, on October 4, 2022, FPT and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quang Tri province (Quang Tri Youth Union) signed a cooperation agreement validated until 2025. Specifically, the agreement aimed to promote the impulse role of Youth Union members and the young generation in Quang Tri province in digital transformation, thereby enhancing the digital economy, digital society, and digital government development. It was one of the activities to implement the digital transformation agreement between FPT and Quang Tri province, signed in April 2022.

Attending the ceremony on the side of Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union were Ms. Tran Thi Thu, Member of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Member of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairperson of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Quang Tri Province; Mr. Mai Van Nam, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; Mr.Pham Xuan Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of The Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization of Quang tri, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Inspection Committee; and nearly 30 members of the Standing Committee of Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union, other specialized subcommittees and subordinate units. On the side of FPT were Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman; Mr. Chu Quang Huy, CHRO; Ms. Trinh Thu Hong, Head of the Corporate Training Department and representatives of functional departments.

According to the cooperation agreement, the youth unions of the two sides will focus on implementing nine critical tasks: developing programs and action plans to implement the Resolution on the digital transformation of the province; organizing digital transformation courses from basics to more intensive classes; consulting on digital transformation competitions and movements throughout the region; helping businesses and people provide local products nationwide through Sendo e-commerce platform; promoting cashless payment through FOXPAY platform...

Speaking at the event, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, emphasized the significant role of youth in digital transformation, contributing to promoting local economic development and giving access to e-commerce, cashless payment, and online public services with the most effective costs and highest transparency. He also affirmed that FPT was committed to accompanying Quang Tri to overcome all difficulties for digital transformation success.

At the event, Ms. Tran Thi Thu - Member of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Member of People's Committee of Quang Tri province, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairperson of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Quang Tri Province - said that digital transformation was not a choice but an opportunity for Quang Tri province. In particular, with its agile characteristics, the Youth Union must take the lead in digital transformation that promotes socio-economic development. She also expressed her aspiration that FPT would provide guidance to improve the performance of community digital technology groups, as well as raise digital capabilities for Youth Union officials, and promote digital transformation in the operational management of the provincial Youth Union.

Also, in the framework of the ceremony, nearly 30 representatives of specialized departments and units of Quang Tri Youth Union participated in an overview course on digital transformation and access to Foxpay cashless payment solution to raise their awareness of digital transformation implementation.

Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quang Tri Province visited FPT

Previously, on April 21, 2022, Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee and FPT Corporation signed a partnership agreement to undertake the digital transformation through 2025. The deal aims to help Quang Tri implement digital transformation in order to: improve the leadership of the Party committees and the effective management of the authorities at all levels; vigorously develop the digital economy and digital society; enhance the benefits of people and businesses; basically complete the objectives of the National Digital Transformation Program; gradually raise the provincial position on the annual Digital Transformation Index (DTI) Evaluation rankings.

On September 16, 2022, representatives of FPT's leaders awarded 500 computers to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Quang Tri province within the framework of the XIII National Congress of the provincial Youth Union for the 2022-2027 term. By that, the Corporation aimed at ensuring office essentials for union members and the youth working and studying in the province, serving to organize local events and activities. Furthermore, by equipping the young with technology equipment, FPT expected to promote digital transformation toward digital government and society in Quang Tri.
