FPT Was Honored among the Top 20 Sustainable Development Enterprises in 2022

Ho Chi Minh City, August 10, 2022, FPT Corporation was named "Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprises in 2022 - Listed Enterprises" at the celebration organized by the Nhip cau dau tu (NCDT) Magazine. Mr. Vo Dang Phat - Chief of Marketing and Communications (CMO) - represented FPT Corporation to receive the award. 

The NCDT Magazine hosts the "Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprise in 2022" Award with the goal of promoting sustainable development widely among the business community and Vietnamese society. 

Enterprises in three areas - FDI, listed enterprises, and unlisted enterprises are approved by the appraisal board, which are senior leaders of economic and financial organizations such as HSBC, Deloitte, FTI Consulting, Institute for Circular Economy Development (ICED) of Ho Chi Minh City National University... based on criteria including: stable growth, sustainable corporate culture, corporate governance, environmental protection, and social responsibility.

In 2021, FPT's environmental, social responsibility, and governance (ESG) activities recorded a score of 76%, an increase of 11 percentage points over the same period. According to its business strategy, FPT develops a sustainable development orientation and approach that ensures the harmony of three elements: economic development, community support, and environmental protection. At the same time, when setting up action plans, the Corporation also references the 17 UN sustainable development goals and the GRI Standards.

With a solid digital national tectonic orientation, FPT constantly focuses on developing leading digital transformation solutions across all three pillars: digital government, digital economy, and digital society. 

It has been actively contributing to the digital transformation process of various localities, thereby enhancing the socio-economic development and digital government. Enterprises have now promoted the signing of digital transformation with 21 localities and conducted digital transformation awareness training for tens of thousands of local leaders nationwide. Simultaneously, FPT solutions have significantly improved operations for numerous enterprises of all sizes and domains, bringing superb customer experience, creating innovative business models, enhancing revenue, and generating more jobs.

One of the core programs in FPT's sustainable development strategy is to promote the development of high-quality human resources, especially digital human resources, to meet the market's needs in the 4.0 industrial revolution. As of December 31/12/2021, 74.313, the number of equivalent learners across the FPT Education system was 74,313, contributing positively to the development of social resources.

In order to attract and foster talents, in 2021, FPT also spent VND 97 billion to award Nguyen Van Dao financial aid to 9.500 disadvantaged students with notable academic achievements or outstanding talents in many provinces. In addition, FPT also created the FPT Center for Young Talents (FYT) to facilitate talented students.

The enterprise also timely contributed human and material resources together with the community to overcome the challenges of the pandemic. In 2021, FPT supported VND 183,6 billion in more than 100 CSR activities, bringing the most practical values to 134.494 people nationwide.

On August 8/2021, Mr. Truong Gia Binh - Chairman of FPT Corporation - initiated the founding of HOPE school in FPT City urban area of Da Nang city to nurture the children who unfortunately lost their parents due to Covid-19. As a result, the school has become a "place like home" of living and learning for 200 students from more than 40 provinces and cities across the country in the 2022-2023 school year.

The award of the NCDT Magazine has prolonged the remarkable performance of the leading technology enterprise in 2022. In May, FPT was honored by Stevie Awards - the only award for business innovation across the Asia-Pacific region - the Gold Award in the "Responding to Covid-19 - Enterprise's Most Valuable Contribution to the community" category. In July, according to Forrester, FPT Software entered the Top 8 IoT businesses in Asia-Pacific. In early August, the business was also named Top 50 best listed companies by Forbes Vietnam for the tenth year in a row.

Regarding business results, in the first seven months of 2022, FPT recorded revenue of VND 23.219 billion, profit before tax of VND 4.242 billion, increased by 22,2% and 23,7%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. The business results maintained double-digit growth, with the main driver coming from the increased demand for technology, especially digital transformation services.
