Go-live Central Processing Center module of IVAS Project for Bangladesh

The IVAS Project for Bangladesh General Department of Taxation executed by FPT Information System Company has recently launched the Central Processing Centre module, bringing a lot more utilities and new experiences for both officials and the public.

Previously, when there were declaration problems, Bangladesh had to send requests to the capital and wait for the officials to respond. However, with this module to be launched, people can have direct support from the local Taxation Department, meanwhile, officials will be enabled to get their tasks done efficiently.

Up to now, FPT IS experts have deployed and started training the module at 4 Tax Departments under Dhaka and Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU), and will continue to be expanded in the upcoming future.

FPT IS had started deploying IVAS for Bangladesh General Department of Taxation in September 2015. Up to this point of the project, modules such as Tax registration; Monthly/Quarterly tax declaration; tax refund; online payment; document management; Central processing center;... have operated successfully, helped Bangladesh government to manage VAT tax accounts of over 260.000 businesses and organizations and support 320 local tax department nation-wide.

In 2015, among 5 international tenders from England, France, Canada, China and Luxemburg, FPT IS was chosen by the Bangladesh General Department of Taxation to deploy the 33.6-million-dollar project. This was a complex technology project, requiring the tender to have high capability as well as experience in deploying fin-tech projects. The system consisted of three main modules and three phases respectively: Tax registration, tax declaration and tax accounting. FPT was the main supplier of the overall solutions, facilities and management service.
