FPT’s CEO and 05 suggestions for enhancing Vietnam's values on the global map of technology

Hanoi, December 8, 2022 - The 4th Vietnam Digital Enterprise Development Forum (VFTE 2022) with the theme "Sustainable development and enhancement of Vietnam's values in the global value chains" took place at the National Convention Center with the participation of ministries, agencies, and leading digital transformation businesses.

With more than 20 years of "go global" experience, a wide presence in 27 countries, and considerable achievements, FPT Corporation is believed to be the leading bird on the path of globalization. At the event, CEO Nguyen Van Khoa and senior executives of FPT' subsidiaries in Japan and Singapore shared their opinions on developing the Vietnamese digital business community in association with the global value chains. Besides, the Corporation also introduced some of its key products and solutions at the exhibition area. In addition, two products of the Made-by-FPT ecosystem were honored with the Top 10 "Excellent digital products for the digital economy," including one that won the Gold Award.

It was the first time that VFTE was organized as a hybrid event to connect with the Vietnamese IT business community in Japan and Singapore. Sharing at the plenary session, FPT’s CEO Nguyen Van Khoa said: "Amassing experience and technological capacity of 20 years of working abroad facilitates us to be mature regarding resources. Hence, we have never been more confident to undertake the most important and complex national projects that all contribute greatly to the national socio-economic development, such as: the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange system, the national tax management system, the rail e-ticket system, the overall hospital management system...".

Mr. Khoa also announced five suggestions, pledging close companionship with the Vietnamese IT business community to contribute to the development of the IT industry and the whole country. "Vietnam's IT industry is entering a new phase of rapid development, opening up great business opportunities. We are in need of a united community of robust tech entrepreneurs. As a pioneering IT corporation, FPT is willing to share international experience and become a reliable partner of each Vietnamese company in domestic and foreign markets. Promoting sustainable development and enhancing Vietnam in the global value chains must be a mission. To do this, we have five suggestions. First, the government should give businesses with major issues of society to hand on. Secondly, it is necessary to strongly promote the Make-in-Vietnam digital ecosystem for each industry and each sector. Thirdly, diplomatic relations in the field of technology must be enhanced. Fourthly, the national digital transformation brand must be promoted. And last but not least, IT workforce development needs more attention, " he said.

Within the agenda of the event, two products of the Made-by-FPT ecosystem were also honored with the Top 10 "Excellent digital products for the digital economy" under the "Make-in-Vietnam" Awards. Specifically, FPT Cloud - The next-generation cloud computing solution - won the Gold Award, and FPT.eSign - The remote signing service - won the Top 10 award. Those recognitions have motivated technology enterprises, including FPT, to innovate and contribute more and more to the national digital transformation strategy.

VFTE is an annual forum organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications to accelerate the implementation of the National Digital Transformation Program, aiming to simultaneously improve three digital transformation pillars (digital government, digital economy, and digital society) and encourage Vietnamese digital enterprises to expand globally.
