FPT’s member companies among Vietnam’s 50 Leading IT Companies 2017

The Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) announced the list of Vietnam’s 50 Leading IT Companies 2017 on October 19.

The top 50 information technology (IT) companies of Vietnam in 2017 has total revenue of VND 20,676 billion and employ 35,542 people. Some of these firms are taking the lead in the IT sector such as FPT Software, FPT IS, TMA, MISA etc. The list also named other high-technology companies such as ELCOM, NextTech and MK Smart. Those that have grown especially quickly, such as RikkeiSoft, VMG, SmartOSC and FS ranked among the list. FPT Software and FPT IS (FPT's member companies) accounted for 48% of the total revenue of Top 50.

Launched in June 2017, the programme included preliminary evaluation rounds for enterprises in BPO, IT Outsourcing and KPO; IT software, solutions and services; as well as Digital content, applications, solutions for mobile.

This year’s voting programme prioritises businesses operating the fields of digital transformation, Internet of Things, and new technology trends like artificial intelligence, big data, and visual reality.

According to the Organisers, such recognition is an important step towards strengthening the industry. Domestic businesses in the field may not have strong reputations, but with more investment in R&D, it is expected that they will soon catch up with global technology trends and grow quickly.

A ceremony to honour the top 50 firms will be held as part of the International Conference on Smart Cities and the 11th Japan ICT Day from October 25 to 26, 2017 in HCM City.
