FPT among Top 3 M&A deals after acquiring Intellinent

Only a month after announcing the acquisition of US consultancy firm, FPT was among Top 3 M&A deals revealed at the M&A Vietnam Forum.

At the M&A Vietnam Forum, FPT was called to the stage in three award categories: Top 3 M&A deals during 2017-2018 in the acquisitions category, Top 10 companies with the best M&A strategies in the past decade and Top 3 M&A deals during 2017-2018 in information disclosure.

FPT made the deepest impression with its most recent deal in which it acquired a 90 per cent stake in Intellinet, becoming the first-ever Vietnamese tech firm to acquire a US consultancy firm. The strategic investment into Intellinet will help FPT get ready to provide overall digital transformation solutions to global companies, the U.S ones first, helping expand its markets and increase its revenue from the U.S.

Vietnam M&A Forum is an annual event for the Vietnamese and international business and investment communities, co-organised by Vietnamese Investment Review (VIR) and AVM Vietnam under the auspices of the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Vietnam M&A Forum 2018 with the theme “New Thrust. New Era.” will spend time looking back at Vietnam M&A’s 10-year journey to assess the M&A trends in the next few years, analyze new capital flows, opportunities and driving force for M&A in Vietnam.

At the same time, the event will celebrate the 10 years the Forum has accompanied and connect businesses and investors, both domestic and international, facilitate the first step for millions dollar M&A deals.
