FPT and the Ministry of Health launch Covid-19 Chatbot app

FPT and the Department of Information Technology under the Ministry of Health officially launched the Chatbot app on its website to automatically answer basic questions about the new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) epidemic at https://ncov.ehealth.gov.vn/. As of February 18, 2020, average 5,500 to 5,700 questions have been answered per day, with the precision of 96.4%.

In order to support Covid-19 prevention efforts, the Department of Information Technology and FPT developed the Chatbot application by within a week. It was launched on the Ministry of Health’s website to automatically answer basic questions about the new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) epidemic.

The Chatbot is developed based on an artificial intelligence (AI) application platform with real-time automatic answering mechanism that helps answer a large number of questions about the Covid-19 epidemic at the same time.

The Department of Information Technology also developed a specialized website on the prevention and fight against the acute respiratory disease caused by Covid-19 at the address https://ncov.ehealth.gov.vn/.

The website provides up-to-date information on the situation of the Covid-19, and the guidelines from the Governments and the Ministry of Health on Covid-19 prevention.

It also has real-time statistics of Covid-19 infected patients, the origin and transmission mechanism of Covid-19, the disease’s symptoms, along with a list of medical facilities nationwide eligible for Covid-19 medical examination and treatment.
