FPT - BTEC international college open 1st course

On August 19, FPT – BTEC international college held the opening ceremony of the 1st course in HCMC with the participation of 200 parents and students. Another opening ceremony will be held on September 5 in Hanoi.

On August 19, FPT – BTEC international college held the opening ceremony of the 1st course in HCMC with the participation of 200 parents and students. Another opening ceremony will be held on September 5 in Hanoi.

FPT University and Pearson Edexcel Education of England cooperated to open the college. The curriculums are in accordance with the standards of the UK College of Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC).

"FPT-BTEC will focus on training skills and deepening professional knowledge in accordance with international training standards. Instead of receiving heavy theoretical training, students will be equipped with skills for working after graduation," said Le Thi Hong Hanh, Director of FPT-BTEC International College.

"The training of FPT-BTEC International College is associated with real needs and practical labour use. We will help you prepare yourselves for work after graduation," stated Tran Ngoc Tuan, Vice Rector of FPT University.

"You may face some obstacles when choosing to study at FPT BTEC International College where you will use many textbooks written in the English language. However,  the teachers are always dedicated to their students. Above all, you need to make every effort," said Dao Ngoc Anh, Training Director of FPT-BTEC International College.

FPT - BTEC students need only six semesters, equivalent to two years, to complete the curriculums. The curriculums are in accordance with the standards of the UK College of Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC). The graduates will be awarded the diploma of the BTEC in Vietnam.

Also right in the opening ceremony, new comers were offered scholarships worth up to nearly VND20 million. 

A student of the first course receives the scholarship.

Besides, the program also includes Singer Duc Phuc, who won "The Voice of Vietnam" singing competition 2015 and To To, who won "Dance Your Fat Off" 2016.

The program offers opportunities for Vietnamese students to access international training programs. The total tuition fee for the two-year program is about VND80 million.

Right after the opening ceremony, on 19 August, FPT-BTEC students will be taking part in the "Orientation Day" to find out about the learning activities as well as regulations.
