FPT reaches 80,013 employees across 30 countries

From September 9 to 11, 2024, FPT Corporation welcomed a new wave of employees, bringing its global workforce to a remarkable total of 80,013. This event marks a meaningful occasion for FPT as it commemorates its 36th anniversary, highlighting the Corporation's impressive global growth and expansion.

Hiring its 80,000th employee was accomplished by onboarding Matsuyama Yutaro, a 1991-born consultant at FPT Japan. Prior to joining FPT, Matsuyama studied at Keio University, one of Japan's premier institutions for higher learning, where he majored in Law. He expressed his enthusiasm for choosing FPT as his career path due to its open and positive working environment, as well as the ample opportunities for professional development. Matsuyama looks forward to contributing to projects for FPT's key partners, including Honda and Nissan, in the near future.

FPT Corporation recently welcomed 12 new employees, from 80,001 to 80,013, across various fields, including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, education, and digital content.

Among them, Mr. Phan Tran Minh Uyen, the 80,013th employee, specializes in research and development of chips at FPT Semiconductor. With Vietnam emerging as a hotspot for semiconductor investment, FPT has dedicated over a decade to chip R&D. The Corporation plans to intensify recruitment in this sector to strengthen its capabilities and contribute to the growth of Vietnam's semiconductor industry.

FPT also welcomed its youngest executive in the leadership team of FPT Telecom, Mr. Tran Hong Son, born in 1991, who serves as the Deputy Director of Hanoi Center 5.

Alongside these youthful talents, the Corporation also brought on experienced experts, including Mr. Tran Van Viet, born in 1971, who holds a PhD in Materials Science from FPT University.

The 13 new employees enjoyed a meaningful first day, participating in a welcome ceremony where they received gifts such as badges, FPT uniforms with remarkable order numbers, and the book "From Obscurity to a Global Corporation," chronicling the Corporation's extraordinary journey.

In the first eight months of 2024, FPT achieved revenues of 39,664 billion VND and a pre-tax profit of 7,077 billion VND, marking increases of 20.8% and nearly 20%, respectively, compared to last year.
