FPT Proposes Building Educational Complex and Driving Digital Transformation in Vinh Phuc

On the afternoon of November 2, 2024, a delegation from FPT Corporation, led by Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT, held a working session with Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Province. The discussion focused on FPT's investment project for the Education Complex and potential digital transformation collaboration in the province. Also in attendance were leaders from various departments, agencies, and the People's Committee of Vinh Yen City, Vinh Phuc Province.

During the meeting, FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa shared that FPT has prioritized the domestic market and government sector over the past three years. With its deep expertise in information technology and 36 years of experience, the Corporation has successfully deployed a range of systems for critical institutions such as the Ministry of Finance, Taxation, Customs, Treasury, and Banking. Recently, FPT has gained the government's trust to participate in Project 06 and Resolution 175, where it plays a key consulting role in building the national architecture and data infrastructure. FPT leaders proposed that, with the trust of Vinh Phuc Province, they plan to focus on Project 06 to drive digital transformation and unlock new growth opportunities for the province.

Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee held a meeting with FPT Corporation

In terms of education, FPT Corporation urged Vinh Phuc province to prioritize the approval of investment policies for the development of an inter-level education complex in the region. FPT leadership emphasized their commitment to supporting Vinh Phuc in cultivating high-quality human resources aligned with the province's development goals while expressing readiness to partner with the province to drive comprehensive digital transformation.

FPT Corporation has outlined a two-phase digital transformation plan for Vinh Phuc. By 2025, FPT will support completing the province's data strategy, build a 3.0 digital government architecture, and develop digital transformation programs. Additionally, FPT will assist in digital infrastructure and platform development, focusing on the Digital Data sector and Project 06. From 2026 to 2030, FPT will advise on the province's long-term digital transformation plans and implement technology systems across various sectors, working towards establishing a Smart City model for Vinh Phuc.

Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee, highlighted, "FPT is a leading multi-industry corporation in Vietnam, with significant strengths in information technology. Vinh Phuc looks forward to continued cooperation with FPT, particularly in high-quality training to support the growth of the high-tech and semiconductor industries, which aligns with the province's development strategy."

Following FPT Corporation's recommendations, the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee Chairman, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, agreed in principle to the proposals. He instructed the relevant local departments and agencies to collaborate with FPT to promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee on completing the necessary legal and procedural steps for the FPT Education Complex project in Vinh Phuc. The goal is to initiate construction in time for the 18th Provincial Party Congress. Regarding digital transformation cooperation, Chairman Dong assigned the Department of Information and Communications as the lead agency to implement digital transformation initiatives aligned with government and provincial projects. Vinh Phuc's leadership also expressed hope that FPT Corporation will expedite the development of a data center at the Thang Long Industrial Park in Vinh Phuc and assist the province in training high-quality talent to support its development goals.

In 2022, the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee and FPT Corporation signed a cooperation agreement aimed at advancing digital transformation in the province through 2025. The partnership focuses on jointly developing e-government, digital government, digital economy, digital society, and smart city initiatives in Vinh Phuc.

Leveraging the Corporation's technological expertise and digital transformation experience, as well as considering each locality's socio-economic characteristics and competitive advantages, FPT offers advice on socio-economic development planning, digital transformation strategies, and large-scale awareness campaigns aimed at fostering a shift toward digital transformation. These activities aim to promote comprehensive socio-economic development across all three pillars: digital economy, digital government, and digital society, contributing to the realization of the digital national model.
