FPT deploys manufacturing management system for VinFast

Recently, akaMES - a manufacturing management system by FPT was successfully deployed at VinFast factory. The two sides expected that with digital solutions that enable real-time management and synchronization of manufacturing processes from raw materials to finished goods, akaMES will help VinFast optimize operations and cost.

The first one is to digitize manufacturing processes. Workers can quickly input data into the system, reduce errors, and reduce the use of paper in the workplace. Process digitization increases the efficiency of teamwork.

Secondly, the real-time integration of data and real-time report display help managers follow manufacturing progress, make human resource transfer decisions, and solve problems quickly and promptly. With the available data, the manufacturer can perform improvement continuously.

The third one is to help calculate manufacturing cost. The system can calculate the costs incurred in raw materials, labor costs, and machine depreciation costs. This function helps manufacturers to optimize manufacturing capacity and product price.

The solution is to provide visual insight to managers to assist them in making immediate decisions, operating production strategy in the most efficient and optimal manner. akaMES helps reduce the use of paper by 70-80% of, increase performance by 30-40% at factories and save 20-30% cost.

Currently akaMES is being deployed for customers in the automotive and steel manufacturing sectors in Vietnam, Japan, and Malaysia. In 2021, akaMES will expand its customer base into furniture manufacturing and textile industries.
