Following the successful alignment of its organizational model with the current revenue scale and financial capacity, Petrolimex Joint Stock Insurance Company (PJICO) is poised to expedite the execution of initiatives outlined in its digital transformation roadmap for the 2023-2028 period, as guided by FPT Digital.

In 2023, PJICO achieved a milestone in its insurance revenue, surpassing 4,000 billion VND for the first time. Despite adverse conditions in the insurance industry market, PJICO exceeded its annual plan with a total revenue of 4,847 billion VND.

To propel itself forward and align with the evolving trends, PJICO has embarked on several significant IT initiatives. Among these endeavors is a comprehensive digital transformation spanning from 2023 to 2028. The overarching objective is to position PJICO as a leading insurance enterprise in Vietnam, operating sustainably, securely, and efficiently within a digital framework. This strategic endeavor aims to elevate customer experience, foster engagement, and unlock new business opportunities.

In pursuit of an optimal and efficient transformation journey from inception, PJICO has strategically partnered with FPT Digital to craft a swift and synchronized roadmap comprising three digital pillars.

Firstly, PJICO aims to enhance the customer interaction experience. Alongside upgrading and refining the website system, call center, and AI chatbox, PJICO is prioritizing the development of a customer data platform (CDP) and customer relationship management system (CRM), aiming to consolidate and deliver improved, convenient, and transparent services. Additionally, PJICO plans to introduce incentive programs tailored to the needs of various customer segments, addressing the specific requirements of large customer groups such as FDI enterprises and SMEs.

Secondly, PJICO focuses on optimizing underwriting and claiming activities. Through digital transformation, PJICO aims to streamline processes and enhance user experiences across all touchpoints in multiple channels, bringing uniformity to business customers. From an operational efficiency standpoint, PJICO plans to proactively review and analyze multidimensional business data to identify factors influencing the performance of each operation and customer group. This analysis will enable PJICO to propose solutions for restructuring operations, maximizing revenue potential, optimizing profits, and enhancing competitiveness.

Lastly, the internal digitalization of PJICO's activities is prioritized. Implementing a Digital Office equipped with systems and tools to support work not only saves time and operational costs but also reduces paper usage. This initiative underscores PJICO's commitment to environmental sustainability by raising employee awareness and responsibility for conserving natural resources, aligning with the corporation's sustainable development goals.

PJICO Chairman Pham Thanh Hai anticipates that digital transformation will be a pivotal strategy for PJICO, enabling the expansion of development opportunities on the digital platform. This transformation aims to shift the business model toward enhancing customer experience and service quality. Additionally, it seeks to reinforce governance and optimize resources to achieve safe, sustainable, and efficient development, improving benefits for shareholders, businesses, and society. "With the assistance of FPT Digital, PJICO has meticulously crafted a detailed digital transformation roadmap spanning from 2023 to 2028, aligning with the Corporation's developmental trajectory until 2030. We hold firm confidence that with the unwavering determination of the entire organization, PJICO will adeptly implement digital solutions and initiatives in a synchronized and comprehensive manner, realizing the strategic objectives of its digital transformation with utmost efficiency".

Mr. Doan Huu Hau, Consulting Director of FPT Digital, emphasizes that their objective is not only to address PJICO's existing challenges but also to capitalize on future prospects, ensuring its continual prominence as a leading enterprise in the insurance sector.

Given the substantial volume of requests encompassing diverse and intricate work content, PJICO's digital transformation necessitates unwavering determination and decisive actions from both teams to ensure quality, practicality, feasibility, and high efficacy. This transformation represents an inevitable shift for the corporation, aimed at instigating qualitative changes to fortify its readiness to navigate market fluctuations and contend with intense competition, ultimately steering toward a sustainable and prosperous future for all stakeholders.
