FPT discusses cooperation opportunities in DX with large German enterprises

On November 25th, the delegation of representatives from 13 German businesses under German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OVA) headed by Mr Philipp Rösler, former German Vice-Chancellor, former Deputy Prime Minister of Germany, visited and worked with FPT University and FPT Software Village (F-Ville) in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park. The group comprised of companies of sectors like banking, chemical industry, insurance, legal advice etc.

Speaking at the event, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh talked about the digital transformation market trends besides the challenges the businesses have to face as well as the results they gain in the digital transformation journey.

Mr. Binh also spoke to them about FPT Digital Kaizen - FPT's digital transformation methodology: think big, do smart and scale fast. "In terms of digital transformation, we should think big but starts smartly so that we can grow fast," said he.

Mr. Binh said that the three most key points of digital transformation include data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence. For example, when converting to cloud computing, businesses can save millions of dollars.

At the event, the representatives from the German businesses expressed their special attention to FPT's technological capabilities, especially those related to image recognition and user identity authentication.

Germany is one of FPT's important markets in Europe, which is geared to catch up with the world’s latest digital transformation trends. According to a report by International Data Corporation (IDC), Europe spending for digital transformation is forecast to reach USD378.2 billion in 2022, making it the third largest geography for DX spending. FPT’s sales in this market is also projected to grow 30 percent in the coming years, with digital transformation being a key driving force.

Recently, FPT prolonged a service agreement with RWE AG (RWE) for the delivery of digital technology services and solutions. The agreement lasts until end of the year 2024.

According to the agreement, from 2019 to 2024, FPT will be providing emerging technology solutions in areas such as Internet of Things (IoT), mobile solutions and Robotics Process Automation (RPA). According to the agreement, FPT will also provide consulting and development services in Test Automation, ABAP development, SAP consulting, and SAP Application maintenance.
