FPT grants free access to platform VioEdu amid the Covid-19 outbreak

According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training, as many as 56 out of 63 cities and provinces nationwide decided to close schools to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19. Having the desire to accompany schools and students, FPT has also granted free access to its AI-powered online learning platform VioEdu on https://vio.edu.vn/ till the epidemic stops.

The system gets 27,000 users and 70,000 visits weekly. Especially on February 3 - the first day off due to coronavirus, the number of visitors reaches 23,000, increasing by 2.3 times.

VioEdu is actively supporting schools around Hanoi in uploading their lesson plans, utilizing those on the system, as well as assigning and checking homework, keeping students' spirits up during school closures

VioEdu is an AI-powered online learning platform with more than 500 videos, more than 100,000 items of knowledge and a pool of exercises and tests which strictly follow the curriculum established by the Ministry of Education and Training. Currently, the system is meeting the mathematics learning needs of students in grades 1-6 and 12. There are about 25 schools in Hanoi using the VioEdu system namely Hanoi Star Secondary School, Newton Grammar School, Doan Thi Diem, FPT School, etc.

Newton Grammar School 5 was the first facility to go into online teaching via VioEdu. Principal Le Thanh Quan said that VioEdu's features support the teaching and learning process effectively. This was proven through the experience of their teachers and students.

Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao - Homeroom teacher for 3G0 class at Pascal Primary And Secondary School, Hanoi thought that the teachers and students are accessing the VioEdu system for learning and teaching. "The application of vio.edu.vn has been implemented since the end of the first semester of the academic year 2019 - 2020. The teachers have been trained to run it in the second semester. During this period, the online learning helps the children folllow the program if COVID-19 outbreak lasts long," added Thao.
