As the largest economic center in the country, HCMC with nearly 400,000 operating enterprises (accounting for about 52% of the number of enterprises nationwide) concentrated in industrial zones is at high risks of the spread of COVID-19. To monitor and evaluate COVID-19 prevention, HCMC sets a set of 7 criteria for businesses in many fields such as transportation, education, commerce, tourism etc. They declare and evaluate their safety in during COVID-19 based on these criteria.
Previously, businesses had to come to the local management agencies and carry out the declaration in paper form. Then, the management agencies synthesized and assessed their safety based on the criteria set by the city and the declaration by enterprises. Then the assessments and decisions were not made timely while immediate actions and responses were required during Covid-19. HCMC must speed up the declaration digitization as well as the analysis and evaluation to get immediate results.
Taking the order, the project team akaChain worked with the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City to build a new app for the web and mobile platform to digitize all declarations and integrate the criteria in each field.
Businesses make declaration and evaluation on a single platform. Based on the data by them, the app automatically extracts, analyzes and provides real-time assessments of their safety during Covid-19. With the analyzed data, management agencies, businesses and organizations will take timely actions to ensure production safety in the new context. As a result, it saves time, effort and resources for both of the sides.
According to Ms. Vo Thi Trung Trinh, Deputy Director of Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City., the app by FPT contributed to helping businesses and organizations stabilize their operations but still getting timely Covid-19 information, warning and risk assessment.
Mr. Tran Hoang Giang, Director of FPT Software's flagship product akaChain said that in the future, they would partner with Ho Chi Minh City to further promote the application of modern technologies such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence in the digitization of management activities. “Especially in the 'new normal', Blockchain is one of the important keys to help organizations and businesses build networks with partners, customers and communities on an online platform,” said he.
