FPT High School to grant scholarships of VND 2 billion in 2016-2017 school year

Recently, FPT High School announced FPT Scholarship Fund worth VND 2 billion for 10th grade students in the 2016-2017 school year.  It was said that full scholarships would be granted to outstanding students of ViOlympic contest.

Aiming to build the road map of "Independence - Mature" for young people aged 15-18, FPT High School expects to attract both the students with excellent academic results and the ones who are dynamic and innovative. In the 2016 - 2017 school year, FPT High School decided to launch Scholarship Fund worth VND 2 billion, which includes 05 full scholarships and dozens of scholarships with 100%, 70%, 50% and 30% off the tuition fees

Accordingly, scholarships with 100% off the tuition fees will be grant to Top five 9th grade students at the Violympic Math Contest Online (ranked by Violympic); those who win the first place in Provincial/ City (Municipality) Math and English Exams.  Scholarships with 70% off the tuition fees will be given to students who get 55 points or more in the entrance examination for enrolment into 10th grade held by the Hanoi Education and Training Department in the 2015-2016 school year.

Candidates who won third place or higher in Provincial/ City (Municipality) Exams for gifted student in academic subjects, Violympic Math Contest and Violympic English Contest, 2015 – 2016 school year will be admitted directly and join the interview with the School Board. In addition, students with excellent results in the entrance test of FPT High School held on May 22, 2016 will also attend the interview.

This year, we expand the scholarship subjects to attract not only the best students but also the teenagers sharing views on independence in order that FPT High School will perform students who can live anywhere in the world confidently," stated Mr. Dam Quang Minh, Rector of FPT University, Director in charge FPT High School.

In 2016, FPT High School will enroll 400 students across the country who have good or higher academic results and behavior at grade 9, pass the entrance test of FPT High School as well, held on May 22, 2016 and get 10 points or higher total for Literature and Mathematics in the entrance examination for enrolment into 10th grade held by the Education and Training Department in the 2015-2016 school year.

The entrance test of FPT High School consists of 60 questions divided into two parts: Math Quiz and logical thinking (90 minutes). The test helps evaluate the academic qualification of all applicants, putting no pressure on students. This model is very popular in the North America or Europe.

Established in 2013, FPT High School is running under a stay-in high school model of international standard where students study and practice from Monday to Friday every week focused and self-contained.
