FPT honored as Top 10 sustainable businesses 2016

On the evening of November 8, "a ceremony to announce the ranking of Top 100 Sustainable Businesses 2016" was held and live broadcasted in VTV2. FPT was honored as Top 10 sustainable enterprises in the field of Trade - Services.

The event was attended by Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh and more than 200 delegates from government, businesses, associations and organizations inside and outside the country.

On behalf of FPT Corporation, Ms Bui Nguyen Phuong Chau, Head of FPT Corporate Communications Department (2nd from left) received the award.

This is the first time the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) has coordinated with relevant ministries and agencies such as the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the State Securities Commission of Vietnam to announce the ranking of Top 100 Sustainable Businesses.

The program attracted more than 400 businesses. They could highlight their sustainability via three inter-related pillars: economy, society and environment. In order to rank the 100 most sustainable companies in 2016, VBCSD had developed the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) based on 151 quantitative criteria.

According to Nguyen Quang Vinh, Secretary General of VBCSD, these 100 winners that did not put profits above communities and promote sustainable development were expected to exert a positive influence on more than 500,000 Vietnamese enterprises.
