FPT Corporation has signed agreements with Indonesia’s Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) and five leading universities in Indonesia, opening new opportunities in digital transformation and high-quality human resource training. This marks an important milestone in FPT’s global expansion strategy and reaffirms its position as the largest technology company in Southeast Asia.
The event took place as Vietnam and Indonesia elevated their bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership following the state visit of General Secretary Tô Lâm to Indonesia in March 2025. This collaboration is also part of FPT’s efforts to implement Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on comprehensive and deep international integration, and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on the development of high-quality human resources.
Accompanying Indonesia to Realize the “Golden Indonesia 2045” Vision

Mr. Nguyễn Văn Khoa, CEO of FPT, and Mrs. Teni Widuriyanti, Secretary General of Indonesia’s Ministry of National Development Planning, signed a five-year cooperation agreement between FPT and Bappenas.
To promote digital transformation in Indonesia, encourage innovation, and develop a high-quality digital workforce contributing to the realization of the “Golden Indonesia 2045” vision, FPT and Bappenas have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the 2025–2030 period.
The MoU marks a significant milestone in Indonesia’s commitment to leveraging advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), green technology, and smart city solutions to foster comprehensive and sustainable national development.
Under the cooperation framework, FPT and Bappenas will jointly implement strategic initiatives to accelerate Indonesia’s digital transformation. Specifically, the collaboration will focus on developing national and sectoral digital transformation strategies and plans, with an emphasis on enhancing digital governance through the implementation of e-Government systems, Smart Planning, and e-Monitoring platforms.
A key pillar of this cooperation is digital human resource development. The two parties will design and implement comprehensive upskilling and reskilling programs in critical areas such as AI, cybersecurity, software engineering, and data science. These programs will target civil servants, students, and young professionals across Indonesia, building a future-ready digital workforce.
The agreement also promotes innovation through pilot projects applying AI, green technology, and smart agriculture to address urban management and sustainable development challenges. FPT will provide strategic consulting and policy recommendations to help shape Indonesia’s digital economy, focusing on sectors such as logistics, fintech, and digital infrastructure.
“To realize the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision, we must leverage technology, strengthen our industrial foundation, and invest in the next generation of digital talent. Through this collaboration, we are not only enhancing national technological capabilities but also jointly building an inclusive, sustainable, and innovative future for both Indonesia and Vietnam,” said Mr. Rachmat Pambudy, Minister of National Development Planning of Indonesia.
“FPT is honored to accompany the Indonesian Government on its digital transformation journey. Our commitment extends beyond technology we aim to create a future where innovation delivers real value for people, drives economic growth, and supports sustainable development. Through our partnership with Indonesia’s Ministry of National Development Planning, we strive to build a sustainable digital ecosystem that not only serves Indonesia’s national vision but also contributes to the regional digital connectivity and growth across Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific,” shared Mr. Nguyễn Văn Khoa, CEO of FPT.

During the meeting, both sides discussed new cooperation directions, particularly in artificial intelligence and human resource development. With this partnership, FPT aims to accompany Indonesia in realizing the “Golden Indonesia 2045” vision, with AI identified as a key growth driver of the digital economy.
