Amidst the national drive for digital transformation to achieve innovation and sustainable development, on May 17, 2024, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, and FPT Corporation forged a collaboration. This partnership seeks to enhance and streamline digital transformation solutions within the realm of healthcare and medical training.
Mr. Vu Anh Tu, representing the Corporation as FPT CTO, inked the agreement alongside Professor Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, Principal of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy - Hue University. The signing ceremony was overseen by FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa.
Both parties have agreed to collaborate on several fronts to advance the adoption of smart university and e-university ecosystems. They aim to bolster the utilization of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies in medical education, providing students with ample opportunities for practical experience and research. This initiative seeks to bridge academic training with industry demands, thereby enhancing the quality of human resources. Furthermore, in alignment with the Ministry of Health's directive to promote remote medical services toward the sustainability of people's health coverage, the collaboration will focus on developing a patient-centric telemedicine model for primary care. This model will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) technology into healthcare processes to improve service quality. Leveraging the expertise garnered from nearly a decade of operation, the University's Family Doctor Clinic and Family Medicine Center will serve as a foundational model for this endeavor, suitable for developing a network of family doctor clinics. Through joint efforts, the Family Doctor Clinic and FPT will modernize and expand their integrated information management system alongside developing remote disease monitoring tools. These innovations aim to elevate the standard of medical services nationwide, aligning with both Vietnamese regulations and international standards. Ultimately, this partnership seeks to enhance patients' access to quality healthcare, empower them to take charge of their well-being, and alleviate the burden on the healthcare system while improving operational efficiency.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy provided guidance, emphasizing the importance of taking gradual but specific steps to execute detailed plans. This approach will facilitate the university's expeditious digital transformation, encompassing training and medical service management.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting that this marks FPT's inaugural collaboration with a medical university. The joint endeavor to establish a remote medical examination and treatment platform aims to provide the public with convenient, cost-effective, and high-quality healthcare services.
