FPT IS 'builds' smart management system for Hyundai Thanh Cong

FPT Information System Co., Lid. (FPT IS - a subsidiary of FPT Corporation) officially implemented the project of building a centralized data warehouse and business intelligence reporting (BI) for Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam (HTC).

This key IT project of Hyundai Thanh Cong was built and implemented by FPT IS with the aim of maximizing the value of the existing data system. The reports are made of many dimensions and levels, helping managers and leaders quickly get the information from the overall to the details, then make decisions.

The project will be implemented within 4 months with 4 main phases and 10 products. It is expected that the project will be operated by both of the sides in early January 2021. After successful implementation, the project will continue to be expanded and deployed in all automotive subsidiaries as well as TC Motor then the whole corporation.

General Director of Hyundai Thanh Cong Le Ngoc Duc shares the Company's determination on a centralized data warehouse and a business intelligence reporting. Mr. Duc assessed that IT today is playing an important role in business operation. Having information, businesses will grasp opportunities, take advantage of technology to create a competitive advantage in the market.

“Hyundai Thanh Cong must move to become a digital enterprise.  It is expected that the entire automotive business of Thanh Cong will be digitized in 2021. With this project, Hyundai Thanh Cong wants to have a centralized data center and business intelligence reporting system to prepare for digital transformation process of the company in the near future”, confirmed Mr. Duc.

Applying IT in production and business activities since the first days, IT system has created a huge volume of data from sales, customer care, service, manufacturing, warehouse, etc. after more than 10 years of development. However, the data is being dispersed in many different systems, so the exploitation and usage are facing many difficulties. The values the data can bring to are not fully promoted.

Spotting the problem, Hyundai Thanh Cong General Director has officially approved the establishment of a Project Board to implement the corporate governance reporting system and build a centralized data warehouse and business intelligence reporting.
