FPT is the most valuable technology brand in Vietnam

Forbes Vietnam has announced a list of 50 leading brands in Vietnam. FPT is the only technology brand among Top 10 and increased by USD43 million yoy from USD169 million to USD 215.2 million USD. This is the 7th time FPT has been ranked among Top 50 most valuable brands by Forbes by Forbes.

The estimated value of Vietnam’s 50 most valuable brands in 2019 rose 1.2 billion USD from last year to over USD9.3 billion. Top 10 included such familiar brands as Vinamilk, Viettel, Sabeco, Vinhomes, Masan Consumer, MobiFone, VinaPhone, Vietcombank, FPT and Vincom Retail, with a total value of over USD 6.9 billion. Vinamilk won the top place in the rankings with its brand value exceeding USD2.2 billion.

Top 10 most valuable brands

Forbes Vietnam applied the ranking method following the standards that Forbes applies globally. The list was compiled based on the contributions of brands to the companies’ business performance.

After making a preliminary list of more than 100 companies with strong brands and products with wide coverage and high awareness level, Forbes Vietnam calculates pre-tax income and interest, then determines the contribution of intangible assets.

As the calculation method requires financial data, Forbes was not able to determine business brand of large-scale state-owned enterprises which do not release financial data.
