FPT IS and University of Education Partner to Advance Digital Transformation

The University of Education (UEd) at Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-HN), and FPT IS Company Limited have officially signed a cooperation agreement to drive digital transformation in education. This collaboration will focus on developing tech products for assessing and measuring learners' capabilities, which will be integrated into the Khaothi.Online platform. The partnership aims to introduce groundbreaking and innovative products in Vietnam's educational measurement, assessment, and evaluation.

Representatives from UEd and FPT IS signed the cooperation agreement.

The Vietnamese Government is actively encouraging and prioritizing digital transformation in education. Several policies have been introduced to advance this effort, including regulations on applying information technology to management, operations, teaching, and assessment of educational outcomes; organizing online training; establishing guidelines for distance learning at the university and postgraduate levels; and setting regulations for constructing, managing, operating, and utilizing the education sector's database system. While there are challenges to address in the implementation process, successful digital transformation is expected to benefit a wide range of stakeholders, including educational management, teachers, learners, educational institutions, and society.

With supportive policies in place, the University of Education (UEd), one of the nine member universities of VNU-HN, is the sole higher education institution in Vietnam offering undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs in educational measurement and evaluation. The partnership with FPT IS will help introduce modern technology applications to a broad audience of graduate students and researchers at the university.

As part of the cooperation, FPT IS, leveraging its 30 years of experience and expertise in IT, will work with UEd to develop tech products focused on assessing and measuring competencies to support personalized learning. The two parties will also collaborate on plans to enhance and deploy competency, psychological, and non-cognitive assessments for various subjects.

FPT IS will also implement several artificial intelligence (AI) applications to address educational measurement and assessment challenges through this collaboration. The partnership between technology experts and specialists in educational measurement is expected to lead to groundbreaking and innovative products in testing and the broader field of education and training in Vietnam. Once developed, all products will be integrated into the Khaothi.Online platform created by FPT IS.

Khaothi.Online is a comprehensive platform designed to support the digital transformation of assessment and certification activities in line with TCVN ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standards. It includes subsystems for registration management, question bank construction and management, exam organization, result reporting and analysis, and certificate management. The platform offers detailed features and customizable utilities, incorporating technologies such as candidate identification through the National Population Database of the Ministry of Public Security, online monitoring, and applying question response theory and modern educational measurement and evaluation methodologies. With its significant advantages and pioneering approach, Khaothi.Online supports over 400 agencies, organizations, and schools, serves 19,000 individual users and manages 800,000 candidates nationwide. The system simplifies the exam process, reduces opportunities for cheating, and ensures fairness for all candidates.
