FPT Japan enhances its competitiveness with two important security certificates

Recently, FPT Japan passed rigorous assessments to gain two important certificates, ISO 27001: 2013 and PrivacyMark System, which help improve the Company's competitiveness in the Japanese market as well as show the Company's commitments on ensuring data security for customers.

Recently, FPT Japan passed rigorous assessments to gain two important certificates, ISO 27001: 2013 and PrivacyMark System, which help improve the Company's competitiveness in the Japanese market as well as show the Company's commitments on ensuring data security for customers.

ISO 27001:2013 by British Standards International (BSI) provides a set of standardized requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The standard adopts a process based approach for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, maintaining, and improving ISMS.

PrivacyMark System is a system set up to assess private enterprises that take appropriate measures to protect personal information by Japan Institute for Promotion of Digital Economy and Community (JIPDEC).

In business activities, the information security especially for partners in the field of banking, hospitals and government agencies in Japan is identified as the top priority. At the same time, achieving these important certificates affirmed FPT Japan's information security management capacity for customers, then opening up many business opportunities in Japan. In the future, FPT Japan is expected to continue to expand the scope of information security management system applying ISO 27001: 2013.

Japan is one of the important markets accounting for about 50% of FPT's revenue. After nearly 15 years of entering this market, FPT is now the largest foreign IT enterprise here.

By 2020, FPT Japan aims at one of the 20 largest technology enterprises in Japan, the largest Tier 2 SI (Systems Integrator) in Japan with USD500 million in revenue and 3,000 employees.
