FPT Signs Agreement to Boost Digital Transformation and Support Economic & Social Development

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has signed a cooperation agreement to advance digital transformation with six leading enterprises: FPT, Viettel, VNPT, Mobifone, CMC, and MISA.

On July 30, 2024, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Information and Communications signed a Cooperation Agreement with VCCI to support investment promotion and trade of Make-in-Vietnam digital technology products. This initiative aims to advance digital transformation, digital economic development, and digital society from 2024 to 2026, with a vision extending to 2030. The event was attended by over 100 delegates, including leaders from digital tech enterprises, business associations, and national press agencies.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Information and Communications, senior officials from the MIC, and representatives from its affiliated units. Also present were Mr. Pham Tan Cong, Chairman of VCCI, and leaders from the Chamber, including members of the Standing Committee and heads of its affiliated Committees and Institutes.
To ensure the effectiveness of the cooperation agreement between MIC and VCCI, the event also featured the signing of a digital transformation promotion agreement between VCCI and six leading enterprises: Viettel, VNPT, Mobifone, FPT, CMC, and MISA.
The cooperation agreement between MIC and VCCI focuses on three main areas: (1) Strategy and Policy Consulting: Providing guidance on building strategies, plans, and policy environments for digital transformation; (2) Trade and Investment Support: Promoting and supporting investment in domestic Make-in-Vietnam digital products, solutions, and services to drive digital transformation and the development of the digital economy and society; (3) Market Development: Assisting in expanding market reach and investment opportunities for Make-in-Vietnam digital products in international markets.
This event holds significant importance for supporting Vietnamese digital tech enterprises in broadening their market presence and seizing investment and business opportunities domestically and internationally. It leverages a network of 200,000 enterprises across various economic sectors in Vietnam and the global connections of VCCI and MIC. The initiative aims to advance digital transformation and foster the growth of Vietnam's digital economy and society, aligning with the nation's goal of becoming a prosperous, strong, and equitable society.
