FPT officially announces its mission of digital transformation

FPT Corporation celebrated its 30th anniversary and opened FPT TechDay 2018. At this event, FPT announced its mission to become one of the pioneers in digital transformation and received the emulation flag of the government. It attracted more than 3,000 guests from the government, ministries, businesses and the technology community in Vietnam and around the world. This is the largest chain of events in 30 years of FPT history.

30 years of pioneering contributions to national construction and development

In the past 30 years, it is the pioneering spirit that has guided FPT to exploit a wide range of important fields, from Information and communication technology, modernization of national backbone industries, distribution of personal digital devices to software exports, e-newspapers, training associated with practice and digital transformation.

FPT made a significant contribution to the maturity of technology in Vietnam. The greatest manifestation of the maturity is the increasing competitiveness of individuals, businesses and organizations in Vietnam thanks to information technology and digital technology, namely:

• Tens of millions of people benefit from FPT's projects and activities, their lives become more convenient and comfortable. It is estimated to save over hundreds of millions of hours thanks to FPT's solutions in transportation, healthcare, finance, banking and public administration. As a result, time,
• Many new industries and markets in Vietnam have been developed from the path which FPT pioneered following such as informatics services, distribution of genuine technology products, software export, e-newspapers, education for digital industries.
• Tens of thousands of Vietnamese people have joined the global technology value chain via the software export FPT has built up over the years.

The pioneering spirit is always fostered on the global journey. FPT pioneered becoming world-class partners of giants to deploy the most cutting-edge platforms.

Pioneering digital transformation mission

After 30 years, in the context of the fourth industrial revolution, once again the pioneering spirit sent FPT - pioneering digital transformation to transform Vietnam's economy and society. FPT determined to go on this mission for significant benefits:

·       The opportunity to open up a new key sector (digital transformation) worth tens of billions of dollars for Vietnam. It is said that we are witnessing the dawn of a new era of Internet of Things (IoT), for FPT, it is also the era of Internet of enterprises. After all, this is the world of manufacturing, services, banking, aviation... which will be the largest markets for digital transformation. FPT has been a pioneer getting in these markets, partnering with giants in the world. With that strategy, FPT could once again expand the software market and contribute billions of dollars to the spearhead industry.

·       Industry 4.0, for the first time, Vietnam has staked out the same starting place with other countries. FPT pioneers engagement in such opportunities to help Vietnam narrow the development gap with the world.

·       The digital transformation will create a stimulating environment for Vietnamese talents - a vital resource in Industry 4.0. There are some problems related to digital transformation which can be solved with not only infrastructure, budget but also deep understanding of culture, people and national pride. Young people will have the desire to study AI, Blockchain, cloud computing, digital transformation, producing spillover effects in order that not only FPT but also the whole nation will follow the road of digital transformation.
