Kanagawa Governor Kuroiwa Yuji said that FPT is helping further strengthen the relations between Vietnam and Japan.
FPT has inaugurated a representative office in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, which is the firm’s seventh in Japan.
Kanagawa Governor Kuroiwa Yuji affirmed that the prefecture will create favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses.
According to FPT CEO Bui Quang Ngoc, FPT earns considerable revenues from the Japanese market and has the largest number of people working for this market in Vietnam.
FPT Corp first made its presence in Japan in 2001. So far, it has opened offices in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Shizuoka, Okinawa and Yokohama, with around 1,000 staff members.

As the first software company in Japan whose 100% capital was owned by a Vietnamese company, FPT Japan has always achieved high revenue growth over the past years. In 2017, FPT Japan earned VND3,599 billion in revenue, equivalent to USD163 million, accounting for 58% of total revenue of FPT Software and an increase of 26% yoy.
In 2018, FPT Japan aims to reach USD200 million and 1,400 employees, as well as transform its model from a Vietnamese company in Japan to a real Japanese company.
At present, FPT Japan is the foreign IT Company with the most employees in this country. By 2020, FPT Japan aims to become one of the 20 largest technology enterprises in Japan, the largest Tier 2 systems integrator in Japan with a planned revenue of USD 500 million and 3,000 staffs.
