FPT Software gave IT translation tool to the business community

As part of Translator Day 2018, FPT Software gave IT translation tool to the member businesses and Vietnam Software and IT Services (VINASA). The Translator Day 2018 event was co-organized by FPT Software and Expertrans Global with the theme of "Translation in the Industry 4.0". The event attracted nearly 200 translators from domestic and international translation companies.

AkaTrans (Akaminds Machine Translation) is a translation tool, converting Japanese to Vietnamese, developed by FPT Software based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

"FPT Software - a leading technology company can be considered as a major translation company in the region as there are more than 300 communicators (comtors). The huge amount of data accumulated over many years of cooperation with Japanese clients is a valuable asset we would like to share with the Vietnamese IT community through akaTrans tool by FPT Software," FPT Software's Deputy General Director Tran Dang Hoa spoke at the event.

"I believe that this tool will be extremely useful, especially in the period of contract documents preparation. If all Vietnamese software companies working with Japan use this tool, the amount of data accumulated will be larger and more accurate. Then we can proudly tell customers that the Vietnamese IT community has a specialized translation tool for the Japanese market to increase productivity and quality," stated CEO of Luvina Software Le Luong Quang.

According to Mr. Dang Khai Hoan, Head of FPT Software's Global Communications Department, FPT Software hopes to find out a solution to the translation problem in Industry 4.0, sharing IT translation experience and support technologies.

About akaminds Machine Translation

AkaTrans (AMT) has been developed by FPT Software and put into use since 2017.
