FPT strengthens green transformation strategy with ISO 14064-1:2018 certification

FPT recently became the first technology company in Vietnam to achieve ISO 14064-1:2018 certification from BSI Assurance UK. This certification covers the full scope of emissions (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) and was made possible by implementing automated emission inventory technology. Specifically, an FPT subsidiary, which specialized in IT and digital transformation, participated in the assessment and received the ISO 14064-1:2018 certification from BSI Assurance UK, a global leader in standardization and certification. The nationwide certification assessment process spanned six months.

ISO 14064-1:2018 is an international standard providing a detailed framework for quantifying, monitoring, reporting, and verifying greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals. Businesses must meet stringent GHG inventory and management criteria to achieve ISO 14064-1:2018 certification. Specifically, they must establish a robust management system ensuring transparency and accuracy in data collection, monitoring, and assessing GHG emissions. The implementation process requires the application of scientific, reliable data collection methods and adherence to current regulations for each industry, country, and territory.
