FPT successfully implements ePayment function for tax industry of Bangladesh
After the ePayment module is activated, businesses and citizens can pay taxes online instead of going directly to the tax authorities. Immediately after the Chairman of the NBR - Mr. Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Muneem pressed the activation button, the first ePayment transactions were successfully recorded on the system.

Recently, the launching ceremony of online payment module (ePayment) - the project of "Providing, implementing, warranting and maintaining the Integrated VAT Administration System (IVAS)" of the Tax Department of Bangladesh officially took place. The whole project was implemented by FPT Information System.
Attending the event were the senior leaders of the General Department of Taxation, the representatives from leading domestic and foreign banks in Bangladesh (HSBC, Midland Bank Limited, Prime Bank), the representatives of big companies with great contributions to the tax industry who have been connected with the online Value Added Tax Administration system and the reporters from many local newspaper and agencies, as well as the participation of more than 20 offices from the Tax Department and across the country through online platform.
Accordingly, after the ePayment module is activated, businesses and citizens can pay taxes online instead of going directly to the tax authorities. Immediately after the Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) - Mr. Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Muneem pressed the activation button, the first ePayment transactions were successfully recorded on the system.
Mr. Kazi Mostaifizur Rahman, Head of Tax Audit and Inspection Department, aka Project Director, expects the ePayment module will help to improve the efficiency of tax activities as well as reduce the cumbersome administrative procedures that taxpayers encounter when they have to perform the above tasks at the tax office/bank counters.

After the online payment module, other modules for Debt Acceleration and Management, Complaints Handling and others will be put into operation this year
