On March 26, FPT and GeoPost, the international express delivery subsidiary of Le Groupe La Poste (France) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on developing IT services worth millions of Euros in 2018 and next years.
Under the collaboration, FPT will provide technology solutions and apply Digital Transformation on GeoPost’s delivery system to improve the operation efficiency of GeoPost.
At the same time, FPT will efficiently support GeoPost in expanding and developing the logistics market in Asia Pacific through FPT’s network in the region.
Chairman of FPT Software, and Mr. Paul-Marie Chavanne, Chairman and CEO of GeoPost SA, are exchanging the MOU documents.
GeoPost, which is a French leading express company, delivers 4.8 million parcels each day in over 230 countries all over the world. The company has 32,000 pickup points across Europe. Early 2018, GeoPost invested in Ninja Van, a South-East Asian logistics start-up, to expand its presence in the region. Ninja operates in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam and plans further expansion in this region.
Europe is one of the four key export markets of FPT. In 2017, the revenue from this market accounted for 10% of the software export revenue.
