On October 4 and 5, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, General Secretary and President To Lam participated in the 19th Francophone Summit and paid an official visit to France. During this visit, he delivered a speech at the FrancoTech Economic Forum and Innovation Exhibition, an initiative led by President Macron as part of the Summit's activities.

FrancoTech is organized by Business France in collaboration with the Francophone Employers' Union and managed by the General Secretariat of the Francophone Summit. It aims to invigorate the Francophone Community through its economic dimensions, promoting innovation in French and fostering collaboration within the Francophone economic space. The forum expects participation from 1,500 experts, heads of state, government officials, and business delegations from over 100 countries. Key activities will include seminars, B2B meetings for business cooperation, and exhibitions focusing on five main topics: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Energy Transition, Human Resources, Logistics and Food Security, and Financing for Innovation.

General Secretary and President To Lam participated in and delivered a speech at the FrancoTech Economic Forum and Innovation Exhibition, an initiative led by President Macron. The event was part of the 19th Francophone Summit.

During the event, General Secretary and President To Lam toured the booths of various Vietnamese enterprises, including FPT. At FPT's booth, Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, Senior Vice President of FPT and CEO of FPT Software, showcased the Corporation's significant activities in the French market and across Europe. He highlighted FPT's exceptional capabilities in cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), aerospace, automotive, energy, and healthcare sectors.

At the FrancoTech event, the Senior Vice President of FPT and CEO of FPT Software presented an overview of FPT's activities in France and Europe to the General Secretary and President To Lam at the company's booth.

Mr. Tuan stated, "France is a key market for FPT in Europe. We are committed to investing in human resources and new technologies while expanding our presence in France and the broader European market. We aim for the European market to account for approximately 15% of our revenue from IT services in foreign markets over the next five years. This year, we anticipate revenue from the European market will exceed 100 million USD from IT services." He emphasized that, as a partner providing digital transformation and emerging technology services to leading French corporations for many years, FPT aims to leverage the FrancoTech event to strengthen ties with French businesses. This collaboration will help position Vietnam as an attractive destination for advanced technologies, particularly in areas such as AI, Digital Transformation, Green Transformation, Automotive Technology, and Semiconductors.

The FPT Senior Vice President of FPT and CEO of FPT Software addressed the audience at FrancoTech, highlighting their ambition to connect to French and European enterprises. They emphasized their commitment to contributing to Vietnam's emergence as an attractive destination for emerging technologies, particularly in the fields of AI, Digital Transformation, Green Transformation, Automotive Technology, and Semiconductors.

FPT has been active in the French market since 2008, operating five offices with over 100 employees and a team of 600 IT engineers supporting the market remotely. The Corporation serves 30 prominent clients in France, including Airbus, La Poste, Air Liquide, Canal + Group, Quadient, and Sagemcom. It was recognized as one of France's top 100 IT companies in 2023. It is committed to enhancing cooperation between France and Vietnam, actively promoting and facilitating commercial activities. In July, FPT launched the French Association to connect French-speaking talent and foster digital collaboration between the two nations. Additionally, the Corporation has acquired shares in AOSIS, a French IT consulting firm. FPT’s booth at FrancoTech garnered significant interest from businesses within the Francophone community, particularly in areas such as AI, data, cloud solutions, IT human resource training, and sustainable development. Various companies expressed a desire to establish partnerships with FPT in Vietnam, especially in the AI sector.
