FPT collaborates on comprehensive digital transformation with Gia Lai

On April 19, 2023, the leaders of FPT Corporation discussed trends and directions for digital transformation with the leaders of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province.
Attending the meeting on behalf of FPT was Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - the Corporation's CEO - along with representatives of subsidiaries and functional departments of the enterprise. Representing the People's Committee of Gia Lai province was Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - together with leaders of local departments and agencies.
At the beginning of the meeting, FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa shared his desire to help Gia Lai develop in two directions: education and digital transformation, to achieve breakthroughs and enormous progress. CEO Nguyen Van Khoa affirmed that FPT had pursued the philosophy of "One skill, one prestige" over the past 35 years of development and had seen technology as the most important pillar for growth. Along with Gia Lai, FPT wanted to build high-quality primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities.
Regarding cooperation in digital transformation with Gia Lai, the CEO affirmed that FPT would advise the province to follow the Government's Project 06 and work with the officers to develop the best utility applications for the people.
"When both sides cooperate, we will create good resources and maintain a high-quality workforce for the local area. It is a successful model that FPT has applied in many provinces and cities, promoting local economic and social development. Moreover, investing in education and digital transformation is a long-term and sustainable task for not only the people of Gia Lai but also for all Vietnamese people to rise through intellect, science, and technology," said the FPT CEO.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, Southern Region Representative of FPT Education, proposed that the provincial leadership should support FPT in the investing and building process of the FPT inter-level school in Gia Lai province. He emphasized five values that FPT Education Organization brings to learners: Creativity and technology understanding; Independence; Humanity; Global citizenship while maintaining Vietnamese identity; and Sensing and creating happiness.
Expressing the desire for the provincial leadership to introduce suitable locations to open FPT Polytechnic College's training facility in the area, Mr. Bui Quang Hung, Director of FPT Polytechnic High School, said that the opening of FPT Polytechnic in Gia Lai would help improve the quality of human resources, especially in the field of information technology, for the province.
In addition, Mr. Tran Huu Tai, Director of the FPT System Information Consulting Center in Ho Chi Minh City, presented methods of approaching and organization and shared experiences with the results of implementing Digital transformation with provinces across the country. He emphasized that FPT would accompany Gia Lai in digital transformation in the areas such as Digital government transformation and Digital transformation in healthcare. Especially, FPT has solutions such as FPT.eHospital, Smart Kiosks, and data-sharing platforms...to make people's lives simpler and happier.
The Cashless payment was also a topic that FPT proposed to work on with Gia Lai. Mr. Vo Thanh Hai, Director of Foxpay Cashless Payment Center in Gia Lai, affirmed that he would accompany Gia Lai in building intelligent payment management utilities. Exclusively, Mr. Vo Thanh Hai introduced the Foxpay electronic wallet application, Citizen identification application, and Electronic payment portal to the provincial leadership.
Mr. Le Duc Duyen, Director of VioEdu Gia Lai, introduced FPT's digital education platform. Precisely, FPT wished to implement educational playgrounds for students in the province.

In response to FPT, representatives from the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Information and Communications, and relevant departments also expressed their desire to cooperate with Vietnam's leading digital technology conglomerate for comprehensive digital transformation in the future.
At the end of the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - affirmed that Gia Lai had favorable natural conditions and a convenient geographical location for socio-economic development. However, Gia Lai needs more high-quality human resources to take advantage of local advantages and promote the development of the Gia Lai economy.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich - Provincial Party Committee Member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Gia Lai - spoke at the event.
"The vision and desire of FPT are very suitable. The leadership of Gia Lai has great trust in the platform and potential of FPT. We especially hope that FPT will join in developing education and building a college in the locality. Hopefully, Gia Lai will soon have successful projects implemented by FPT. To do that, the two sides need to have a framework for cooperation and establish the operation teams to implement cooperation early," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich also directed the departments such as the Department of Education & Training, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Health, etc., to cooperate with FPT to implement digital transformation projects. In particular, the Department of Information & Communications will promote digital transformation cooperation with FPT.
The CEO of FPT presented a gift to the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province.
After the working session, FPT and Gia Lai would conduct surveys and analyze the situation to proceed with the discussions and signing of a cooperation agreement. FPT's leadership affirms their "Commitment" based on the technological strengths and digital transformation experience of the Group, and also the socio-economic characteristics and competitive advantages of Gia Lai. FPT would support the province to comprehensively develop its economy and society on all three pillars: digital economy, digital government, and digital society toward a national digital model, flexibly adapting to the times.
With the support of the Government and local leaders across the country, in the past year, FPT has signed cooperation agreements with 26 localities and offered training services to tens of thousands of provincial leaders at all levels in terms of digital transformation.
