FPT Explores Collaborative AI Development Prospects with Brazil's Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation

On May 23, FPT Corporation executives warmly welcomed the leadership delegation from the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation. During the meeting, representatives from both sides exchanged insights and experiences regarding AI development in Vietnam, with a particular focus on collaboration with NVIDIA. Additionally, discussions revolved around the bilateral cooperation between the two nations in green transformation, cybersecurity, and human resource training in high-tech sectors.Participating in welcoming the delegation were Mr. Nguyen The Phuong - Executive Vice President of FPT Corporation, and leaders of member companies, along with the companion of Mr. Vu Cuong - Director in charge of corporate customers, NVIDIA Vietnam.

Discussing FPT's AI development strategy, the Executive Vice President emphasized the Corporation's commitment to advancing AI research and development in Vietnam, with a particular focus on Generative AI. FPT has spearheaded comprehensive investment initiatives encompassing research, product and solution development, resource training, and bolstering collaborations with global AI industry leaders and organizations.

"FPT has strategically bolstered its partnership with NVIDIA, a renowned multinational technology giant, primarily focusing on establishing an AI Factory. This initiative aims to furnish a Cloud Computing platform tailored to serve AI research and development, reinforcing technological sovereignty within Vietnam. Concurrently, FPT is intensifying efforts to nurture high-caliber human resources and position itself as a Global Service Integrator within NVIDIA's partner network," Mr. Nguyen The Phuong said.

Mr. Marco Farani, the Brazilian Ambassador to Vietnam and representative of the Brazilian leadership delegation, expressed his admiration and genuine interest in Vietnam's AI strategy. He highlighted that semiconductor technology and AI are also key priority areas for Brazil, with the government actively researching and formulating a national strategy for AI development. "Given the common trajectory in the development of science, technology, and innovation, fostering bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Brazil will make substantial contributions to technological advancement, particularly in AI, benefiting both countries individually and making a significant global impact," he emphasized.

The Brazilian Ambassador to Vietnam also expressed his hope for FPT to collaborate with businesses and R&D centers in Brazil on joint AI projects, particularly focusing on AI applications in key sectors where both countries excel, such as agriculture, green transformation, and cybersecurity.

As part of the meeting, Mr. Hamilton Jose Mendes da Silva, representing the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, conveyed his readiness to collaborate with FPT by signing bilateral cooperation agreements. "One promising area for immediate collaboration is the enhancement of technological human resources through specialized training programs for high-tech specialists and engineers, as well as student exchange initiatives and internships between Vietnam and Brazil," he added.

Earlier, on April 23, in Hanoi, FPT Corporation unveiled its collaboration with NVIDIA aimed at advancing the global development of AI and cloud computing. The partnership centers on establishing an AI Factory dedicated to bolstering sovereign AI research and development in Vietnam while also enhancing capabilities for deploying AI and Cloud services globally, positioning Vietnam as a prominent player in the global AI landscape.
