FPT University’s AI branch aims to operate from 2020

On October 7, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee issued the approval of detailed plan at 1:500 scale for FPT University’s AI branch.

The planning project has the construction scope in a lot named B1-57 of An Phu Thinh new urban area, Quy Nhon city and a total area of 57,308m2.

The perspective of FPT University’s AI branch

The branch is expected to run from 2020. In the immediate future, FPT University plans to admit 100 Mathematics students with a passion for AI for intensive training in about 3 to 6 months. Earlier, FPT University also gave 10 full AI scholarships to 10 excellent students of Binh Dinh province.

FPT University’s AI branch with a capital Investment of VND 693.93 billion, specializing in undergraduate and graduate training programs, providing education and research support services to meet the needs of about 5,200 students in Information Technology, Business Administration and others. The project is divided into 3 phases, lasting from 2019 to 2022.

FPT University’s AI branch is a part of the combination of Education – Artificial Intelligence of FPT in the scientific urban area and key AI center of Binh Dinh province. FPT is the only tech company in Vietnam to invest in building large-scale universities and software parks in Vietnam’s four key economic areas: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Can Tho.
