Con Dao, January 9, 2026 – FPT delivered a set of video-based artificial intelligence (AI) learning materials to nearly 900 students at Le Hong Phong Secondary School and Vo Thi Sau High School in Con Dao Special Administrative Zone. The activity marks the launch of a program to bring AI learning materials to students in remote, border and island areas, contributing to narrowing the knowledge access gap and strengthening digital skills among young people.

Representatives of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Culture and Social Affairs Division of Con Dao Special Administrative Zone, and the schools receive the AI learning materials donated by FPT.
The learning materials were presented to representatives of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Culture and Social Affairs Division of Con Dao Special Administrative Zone, and the schools receiving the donation from FPT.
The learning package is part of a specialized AI training program for young people under the “AI Ready ASEAN” initiative implemented by the ASEAN Foundation across 10 Southeast Asian countries with the support of Google.org. The initiative aims to equip ASEAN citizens with foundational AI knowledge and skills, thereby enhancing digital readiness and participation in the digital economy.
The package includes 12 educational videos converted by FPT from original training content into a video format to improve accessibility and visual engagement. Through these materials, students gain foundational knowledge about AI, including an accurate understanding of artificial intelligence, applications of AI in learning, career orientation in the context of digital transformation, and responsible use of AI in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

To implement the video conversion of the learning materials, FPT collaborated with Vietnet Information and Communications Technology Center (Vietnet-ICT), the local partner supporting the AI Ready ASEAN initiative in Viet Nam. The video format is considered suitable for areas with limited educational infrastructure and resources, enabling more flexible and self-directed learning and improving access to new knowledge.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Do Phi Phuc, Standing Vice Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Youth Union of Con Dao Special Administrative Zone, said that bringing video-based AI learning materials to Con Dao students is highly meaningful in the context of accelerating digital transformation. The program helps reduce geographic barriers in education, supports students in accessing new knowledge, and contributes to the development of digital skills for future human resources.

As one of the students receiving the learning materials, Ha Phuong, a Grade 8 student at Le Hong Phong Secondary School, shared that learning through video materials made it easier to understand AI and increased motivation to explore knowledge and skills for the future, particularly regarding responsibility and ethics in using AI.
In addition to receiving the learning materials, students at both schools were introduced to basic technology concepts, helping to foster digital thinking and raise awareness of the role of artificial intelligence in learning and daily life. The content was designed to be age-appropriate for secondary and high school students, encouraging curiosity, independent learning and digital literacy.
The activity was held on the occasion of Viet Nam Students’ and Youth Day (January 9), spreading the spirit of learning, innovation and aspiration for knowledge among young people, especially in areas with limited educational conditions.

The Con Dao activity is part of FPT’s corporate social responsibility project “Xuan Khai Tri – Opening the Future,” which aims to narrow the digital education gap by converting and disseminating technology-based learning materials suitable for students in remote, border and island areas. According to the plan, Con Dao is the starting point for FPT’s AI learning material donation program in 2026, which will subsequently be rolled out in other localities nationwide.

Through the video conversion and donation of AI learning materials, the program contributes to implementing national policies on digital human resource development and reducing disparities in education access, particularly in island, border and remote regions.
The initiative also aligns with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, supporting the gradual development of a digital citizen workforce to meet the country’s sustainable development goals in the new era.
In line with the implementation of Resolution 57 — one of the key resolutions driving Viet Nam into a new development phase — FPT recently announced the establishment of a Strategic Technology Steering Committee, comprising five units: the Quantum AI and Cyber Security Institute (QACI), FPT UAV, FPT Railway Mobility Technology (FMT), FPT Cyber Security and DC5.
