More than 200,000 train tickets sold

As of 12pm on October 5, e-ticket system recorded more than 200,000 tickets sold out for Tet holiday. The speed of selling tickets was increased by 2.5 times compared to the same period of 2014.

As of 12pm on October 5, e-ticket system recorded more than 200,000 tickets sold out for Tet holiday. The speed of selling tickets was increased by 2.5 times compared to the same period of 2014.

 

Tickets for Tet holiday are still available on www.dsvn.vn while new schedules are continuously updated. Viet Nam Railways plans to sell 15,000 tickets per day for 9 peak days. Thong Nhat trains offers 12,000 seats per day while local trains running on the route of Saigon - Phan Thiet – Thap Cham - Nha Trang - Quang Ngai - Hue have 3000 seats per day. As of 12pm on October 2, about 710 tickets have been returned to the system.

 

In the first 15 days of selling train tickets for Tet holiday (from October 1 to 15), VNR will prioritize long-distance tickets with 90% of tickets for the route of HCMC- Hanoi and 10% for others. In the next 40 days, the number of short-distance tickets will be increased to 21% and then 48%.

 

At the Saigon Railway Station, FPT- e-ticket system provider for VNR has provided people with the ticket-buying guide. For those who have booked tickets but failed to make payments or have not been updated on listed prices, VNR and FPT have made contact with them for notification and repair.

In the case that passengers do not yet make payments but lose ticketing codes, billing codes, compose VTBC and send it to 8255. The system will send back ticketing codes, billing codes to them for payment.

 

In the case that passengers make payments already but lose ticketing codes or do not yet receive confirmation emails, type VT < ticketing code > to get new ticketing codes, then enter them on the website to download ticket items and print them.

The project of e-ticket system for VNR has been launched since July 2014. FPT will provide servers and equipment to support VNR to sell tickets online. In return, FPT will get a certain percentage of online ticket sales. The contract is expected to last for 7 years and divided into 3 phases.
