Nearly 100,000 Tet train tickets successfully booked 2 days after online sales

On the e-ticket system operated by FPT IS, nearly 56,000 tickets were paid for and more than 45,000 other tickets were successfully booked less than 2 days after online sales.

From 8:00 on October 20th to 15:00 on October 21st, more than 100,000 tickets for the Lunar New Year 2020 were successfully booked. In particular, 55,950 ones were paid for. Particularly, the number of tickets that have been successfully booked but not yet paid for exceeded 45,000. From October 20-22, FPT IS' volunteer team is at Saigon Railway Station to assist people to buy Tet tickets on the website http://www.dsvn.vn.

Although the number of visitors is quite large, the network congestion does not occur. On average, it only takes each one about 5 minutes to book tickets online, no more than 4 one-way tickets per each one.

The Sài Gòn Railway Transport JSC announced that passengers will receive a 50 per cent discount off 3,300 train ticket prices from October 1st and October 31st. Schedule, tickets and policies related to the train tickets for the coming Tet holiday will be updated on the website www.dsvn.vn.

This year is the 5th year that FPT IS has accompanied Vietnam Railways. After nearly 2 hours on sale, the visit is stable. It is expected that FPT IS' volunteer team will support people at the station until October 22nd.

The project of building e-ticket system of Vietnam Railway implemented by FPT IS is divided into 3 phases within 7 years.

The cooperation between the two sides has brought many benefits to ticket buyers when FPT IS in turn integrated modern models into online ticket management and booking. Up to now, passengers can print their tickets without having to go to the train station the get their tickets and pay via Payoo or e-wallet Momo.
