Offering students opportunities to become core employees of FPT Software

On April 2, 2016, FPT Corporation in collaboration with Hanoi National University held “FPT Leader Talk” themed “You Can Make It”. The program aimed to encourage the students to accept challenges, strive to chase passion in order to earn a successful career.
The five speakers of the program included CEO of FPT Software Hoang Viet Anh, Director of Z79 Nguyen Khac Hiep, Leader of peripheral team Nguyen Tuan Minh, Cloud engineer Luyen Ngoc Anh and project leader Bui Cong Son. Most of them were young but seized the opportunity for personal development and growth and became core employees of FPT Software.
Hoang Viet Anh, CEO of FPT Software did a programmer internship at FPT when being a junior at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. According to him, besides getting all hot-headed, they had to have a passion for the job. Many opportunities to fairly compete and bring Vietnamese intellect to the world to were available to young IT engineers in Vietnam.
Luyen Ngoc Anh Cloud joined FPT Software as a cloud engineer. Although Ngoc Anh was initially overwhelmed, then he got motivated to study to become a cloud expert. He and co-workers were currently studying and developing a PaaS-related product. After the product was launched, he would focus on getting Cloud certificates of Amazon Web Services. "I will try to get Cloud certificates step by step. No pain no gain,” stated Ngoc Anh.
Just joining FPT Software, Nguyen Tuan Minh participated in a project to develop apps for a mobile phone manufacturer of Japan. But just 03 days later, Minh decided to write a resignation letter when feeling like "doing nothing with test equipment and too stressed." After receiving Minh’s letter, his manager wanted to know his ongoing difficulties and asked him to work for 03 more months. If there was no progress, the resignation letter would be accepted. He decided to stay. And till now he did not regret the decision.
Nguyen Khac Hiep joined FPT Software just because a few acquaintances were working here. After only 03 months, he was promoted to technology leader. Six months later, he was sent to Japan to study project management within a year. Then he was in charge of Project Manager in a project for Japan’s leading TV manufacturer. "After 08 years, I always feel that FPT Software has so many opportunities that they themselves catch me, "said he.
The youngest speaker Bui Cong Son, born in 1992, joined the large projects with Japanese customers and managed more than 100 employees.
"FPT Leader Talk" at University of Engineering and Technology is the 15th event. The program was funded by F9 under FPT Trading with many Microsoft Lumia 640 and Nokia 222 DS.
Also in the framework of the event, 02 gifts were given to two poor students overcoming difficulties and 04 gifts to top 04 scientific projects of the Scientific Research Conference by University of Engineering and Technology. This conference is annually organized to encourage research activities of students.
FPT has been striving to hit the goal of 100,000 people. Thus, in the period from 2016 to 2020, FPT needs to employ about 50,000 staff in various positions from internship to senior managers. FPT Software, operating in the field of software export, is in large-scale recruitment. FPT Software currently has about 9,000 employees working in Vietnam and other countries like the US, Japan, Singapore, Germany, Slovakia, France, Britain, South Korea etc. It is expected that within 03 years, FPT Software will have employed another 10,000 people and 50% of them are new graduate students majoring in foreign languages and ICT.
