Profit before tax reached VND 3,156 billion, impressive growth of 34% yoy

n the first 10 months, revenue and PBT were VND 18,367 billion and VND 3,156 billion, equal to 105% and 115% of the YTD target, achieved strong growth of 22% and 34% year on year (YoY), respectively, in like for like comparison (FPT Retail and Synnex FPT were regarded as associates for 10M2017). Compared to the actual number (no adjustment) of 10M2017, revenue is down -47%, and PBT is up 19% YoY.

Profit after tax (PAT) was VND 2,659 billion, up 19% YoY. PAT attributable to parent company’s shareholders was up 23% to VND 2,128 billion, and EPS was VND 3,474 up 23% YoY. Moreover, the PBT margin achieved 17.2%, equal to 2.3 times that of 10M2017.

Technology sector’s PBT soars by 41% YoY

Revenue from technology and telecom sectors contributed 94% to the Corporation’s total revenue.

Technology sector recorded revenue and PBT of VND 10,025 billion and VND 1,219 billion, equal to 107% and 111% of the YTD target, up 25% and 41% YoY, respectively. In which, the software outsourcing segment recorded revenue of VND 6,683 billion, up 35% YoY. PBT was VND 1,061 billion, up 33% YoY. Outsourcing revenue by markets achieved a good growth of over 27% YoY.

Telecom sector had its revenue up 16%, to VND 7,263 billion, achieving the YTD target. PBT was VND 1,264 billion, equal to 106% of the YTD targets, up 21% YoY.

Overseas markets' profit up 38% YoY

The overseas markets continued to be a key growth driver for FPT. In 10M2018, FPT’s overseas markets recorded a healthy growth with revenue increased by 32% to VND 7,215 billion, and PBT up 38% YoY to VND 1,175 billion. The overseas revenue contributed 39% to the Corporation’s total revenue, from 16% in 10M2017.

On November 2nd, 2018, FPT Corporation and Schneider Electric signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop and implement EcoStruxure platform – an open and interactive IoT platform, helping organizations and enterprises optimize the use and management process of energy in buildings, data centers, and manufacturing plants.
