FPT and Law University of HCMC Collaborate For Digital Transformation

Ho Chi Minh City, June 7, 2024, FPT Corporation (FPT) and Law University of HCMC (ULAW) inked a cooperation agreement to drive digital transformation within the realm of education, specifically by integrating advanced technology solutions into teaching, research, and administrative processes.
Present at the event from FPT Corporation were Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - CEO; Mr. Vu Anh Tu - CTO; Mr. Chu Quang Huy - CHRO; along with other leaders from various functional departments and member companies under the Corporation.
The following individuals were present from ULAW: Dr. Le Truong Son, the Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Nhiem, the Chairman of the University Council; Prof. Do Van Dai, the Vice Dean; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Viet Dung, the Vice Dean, and other Department Heads.

As per the agreement, FPT and ULAW will collaborate on three key areas: consulting on digital transformation strategy, development of law platforms and software, training programs, internships, and recruitment collaboration.
Regarding the first aspect of the collaboration, FPT will guide the crafting of a digital transformation strategy and roadmap to modernize ULAW into a versatile, interdisciplinary research and educational institution. The objective is to steer ULAW toward becoming an innovative, digitally-enabled university. This initiative will facilitate seamless data exchange and equip ULAW with the capability to scale up in alignment with the digital transformation endeavors of relevant ministries.
In the second aspect of their partnership, FPT and ULAW will collaborate to construct and enhance law platforms and software intended for organizations, businesses, and legal training institutions across the nation. Notably, FPT will take the lead in developing software products tailored for training purposes, legal research, and providing legal support. AI will be the foundational technology in all phases, from product development to deployment and subsequent business operations.
In the third aspect, FPT and ULAW will integrate training programs focusing on areas relevant to both entities, particularly AI and Intellectual Property Law. Together, they will develop and incorporate a pilot course on Law and AI into ULAW's curriculum.
This initiative aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the intersection of law and emerging technologies, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities in the digital era. In fact, nearly 35% of the legal staff at FPT are ULAW's alumni.

During the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation, said: "FPT is dedicated to partnering with ULAW in crafting a tailored digital transformation roadmap and implementing it in educational practices. Concurrently, we will offer guidance and collaborate on training initiatives to enhance legal knowledge among FPT management and staff".
Through this collaboration agreement, FPT will facilitate ULAW in swiftly adopting and implementing advanced technology solutions across its teaching, research, and administrative processes. In the future, there will be additional opportunities for both parties to collaborate in developing digital products and services within the legal domain, addressing market and societal demands amid the national digital transformation toward achieving the objectives of sustainable development and innovation objectives.
